They were able to get reagan to cut their tax from 63% to 30... thus, you get what we have here... poor and rich only. If you make less than 200K a year, you are poor.... Less than 80k a year, poverty... Not until the put the tax code back to pre 84 will things change and that wont happen for a long long time. We need a depression to get there...

I sometimes tune in to Fox, and they had a report on the new carrier, and the presenter said that 'aircraft carriers are uniquely American'. Which is strange because other countries have them too.

 

Think you have it backwards. Dont you think the KOCH brothers help control the politics with their money, or others through visits to CNBC and keep wall street pumping along ? Carl Icahn in his new post ? The people with the money make policy, not the politicians and the people with money play along... They know the more govt, the more control, the more regulations in place, the less money they make. They know if min. wage goes up they cant keep raiding their prices on products thus have to eat the costs. They dont do that or directly tie themselves to anything. They are smart, there is a buffer. They dont attempt to oppress anyone, only to make more money. The 2500 aT THE TOP WILL FIGHT AMONG THEMSELVES FOR THE LAST BILLION. They want to make more money, and control policy.
