Germany absolutely has nukes. They store around 20 U.S. B-61 nuclear gravity bombs at Büchel air base, and maintain a fleet of Tornado fighter bombers to deliver them. I understand people being incorrect about things but it’s the level of arrogance while being wrong that is impressive.
What part of mutually assured destruction don't you understand? If you're that eager why don't you pick up a rifle and join the Ukraine ground forces.
I understand MAD just as well as anyone who would think about invading Germany. I think you are the one who doesn't understand MAD. Maybe it's just the "mutually" part you struggle with.
Hm I see. In your little mental calculation did you include as part of the equation a deranged lunatic that might have a terminal illness leading the opposing nation?
If that were the case, he would just launch nukes. He's not going invade Germany with his sockless conscripts. Either way, Germany not having bullets isn't going to matter.
How many nuclear armed nations have ever been invaded by a foreign force? One? And it was highly likely the invading force wasn’t aware of their capabilities Ukraine gave up their nukes under promises made by other nations including the US and were betrayed.
One other thing... If Germany hadn't had bullets, WWI or WWII would have never happened. Germany with no ammo is a path to world peace.
Ah yes. You belong to the same group of people that laughed when Trump told you that buying oil from Russia was a bad idea.
Trump was not wrong when he warned Germany about over dependence on Russia natural gas. Any objective person would admit that. Germany trying to ban nuclear power while the EU effectively banned fracking were both extremely stupid moves.
That is a dumb take as modern Democratic Germany is neither Imperial Germany nor Nazi Germany. As NATO members they are expected to be able to co tribute to joint defense of the alliance so the German government badly needs to get its head out of its backside and actually live up to its NATO obligations.
If Hitler has nukes and he is invading a much smaller foreign nation then I would hope they can defend themselves Or would you rather if that much smaller nation had agreed to give up their nuclear deterrent in exchange for protection from other much larger nations only so you could then complain those nations are spending to much money?
Your bright ideas fail when the other guy with nukes doesn't care if his country, and himself, die in the process.
On the contrary. It's why having nukes are irrelevant. Nobody is going to launch a nuke in support of Germany. It would mean the entire world died instead of just Germany. Bullets, for Germany, are very, very relevant.
That “other guy” already has them We are discussing the unarmed nation It shouldn’t be this difficult to follow such a simple conversation
Well riddle me this, since you think you've got it figured out. Why haven't European countries sent in troops instead of fighting a de facto conflict by just sending arms.
Because they don’t want to get involved in a nuclear war — nuclear weapons are an unfortunate deterrent.
Yeah. Exactly. They believe there's a high probability of Putin using his nukes. That's why if he went into a European country with or without nukes, nobody is gonna use a nuke. That's why Germany should get it's **** together and get some friggin weapons. Maybe get out and push their windmills so they'll work good enough. Now go back and read it again and see if you can understand it this time.
