Wrong. Up thread I linked the appropriation Bill and explained and quoted the text that gives discretion on allocation of military aid to the Executive Branch.

The funds are available for the specific aid but knowing that conflict is dynamic and per separation of powers Congress leave the final disposition of the aid to the Executive. The DoD and State must concur that the aid is safe and efficacious to deliver.

The letter is predicated on the falsehood that PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP was "pressuring" a foreign country. There is NOTHING in the text of the phone conversation that suggests pressuring. NOTHING. Trump ask Zelensky to do a "favor" into looking at possible involvement in 2016 election interference, and inquired about the investigation into the corrupt bidens involvement in laundering some of the $ from the PrivatBank bankruptcy that was controlled by the same oligarch as Burisma. Records from the crack smoker's "law firm" suggest that they dodged a bullet when Shokin was fired, and the investigation was being whitewashed going forward.

If the bidens are so innocent why do they lie about all the money changing hands? The crack smoker claims he never got $ from China yet court records say he got at least $700k cash from them deposited into his Morgan Stanly account. Corrupt joe 30330 floated the $50k month b.s. yet records show it was closer to $167k per month plus $200k + in a legal "retainer," plus mo money, mo money, mo money! Hmm ...

 

If the Bidens are corrupt and involved in money laundering (as you slanderously assert), the DOJ should be investigating them. Then, if the DOJ thinks they can get help from Ukraine, go through the proper channels to get support.

Even the pressure on the foreign country has been confirmed by subsequent independent evidence. According to Bill Taylor, EVERYTHING depended on Ukraine announcing investigations into Burisma. The military aid. A meeting with Trump. EVERYTHING. There is your pressure.

That was the whistleblower's conclusion and it has been supported by the evidence. Still waiting for anyone to lift a quote from the letter and prove that it is wrong.

Republican senators are putting together a resolution condemning the House sham trial. It will get a majority and could render the impeachment DOA in the Senate with no further proceedings.

If the Dems want to make up new rules to govern Congress, Republicans can do the same.

It's just a shame that Dems and Trump Haters are SO DESPERATE to get rid of Trump before the election that they would throw the rule book out the window.

It could set a precedent which will haunt the dems for years to come, just like the Nuclear Option created by democrat Harry Reid in approving Supreme Court justices.
