That may be the main reason he won in a landslide election,
the second being, he pisses off sooooo many lefties on a minute by minute basis.

What the hell was Obama doing for eight years?

    Apparently nothing.

    What a waste.

War (military contractors) and NASA (Apollo missions, Shuttle and Space Station) gave us most of the technology that we have today.

And the 80's and 90's gave us the world wide web (derived from ARPANET), desk top computers, cell phones, and DOT COM companies.

I work in the tech industry and there continues to be new things invented and old things improved on.

So, your opinion that our "technical achievement" is falling behind is complete BS.

It's not that our "technical achievement" is falling behind. It's that other countries are finally catching up.

Yeah. Cuomo managed to escape blame for his Great Recession:

*CUOMO ANNOUNCES ACTION TO PROVIDE $2.4 TRILLION IN MORTGAGES FOR
AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR 28.1 MILLION FAMILIES*

See full chart of higher goals by metropolitan area
    <http://archives.hud.gov/news/1999/pr99131cht.pdf>

WASHINGTON - Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo today
announced a policy to require the nation's two largest housing finance
companies to buy $2.4 trillion in mortgages over the next 10 years to
provide affordable housing for about 28.1 million low- and
    moderate-income families.

He needed help from Pelosi to have the minimum wage earners who didn't default when their 5 year ARM loans reset get kicked out of their jobs and default enmasse when Democrats held Katrina victims and Veterans hostage for a 40% increase in the minimum wage.

The Andrew didn't fall far from the Mario tree. Both worthless.

I don't there's much question who the greater American is between Cuomo and Trump. It's Cuomo by 31 lengths. President Trump is a despot and an existential threat to our democratic republic.

And absolutely laughable assertion at best. Much like claiming that flamingos strut across the surface of Titan.

There was a great drought between Vietnam and the Iraq War. Now we have a lot of vets running for office under both parties, so I expect we'll see more "patriotic democrats" in the future. Notice how most of them are saying they won't support Pelosi if elected. :)

I beg to differ. Cummo's little bit of nonsense is going to make it hard for him to run as the voice of reason in a Democratic party that is increasingly irrational.

Who's irrational? Your President, and his petty despotic actions:

Trump's List: Those Who Might Lose Their Security Clearance

    By The Associated Press

President Donald Trump has acted on a threat to revoke the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan, citing a constitutional responsibility to protect classified information. Brennan, who served in the Obama administration, had become an increasingly sharp critic of Trump's.

Trump says he is reviewing security clearances for nine other individuals. Some have been publicly critical of the president, while others are linked to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference, which Trump calls "a witch hunt."

A look at the 10 individuals:

    JOHN BRENNAN

In a written statement, Trump cited "erratic conduct and behavior" by President Barack Obama's CIA director as justification for revoking Brennan's security clearance. Trump also accused Brennan of "lying" and "wild outbursts." At a news conference last month in Finland, Trump stood alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and openly questioned U.S. intelligence agencies' conclusions that Moscow tried to influence the 2016 election in his favor. Afterward, Brennan criticized Trump's performance as "nothing short of treasonous" and accused him of being "wholly in the pocket of Putin."

On Wednesday, Brennan tweeted a response to Trump's decision to revoke his security clearance: "This action is part of a broader effort by Mr. Trump to suppress freedom of speech & punish critics. It should gravely worry all Americans, including intelligence professionals, about the cost of speaking out. My principles are worth far more than clearances. I will not relent."

    JAMES CLAPPER

Clapper served Obama as director of national intelligence and has held key positions in the U.S. intelligence community. He has been critical of Trump and told CNN on Wednesday that he has no plans to stop speaking out when he's asked for his views on the Trump administration.

"If they're saying that the only way I can speak is to be in an adulation mode of this president, I'm sorry. I don't think I can sign up to that," Clapper said.

Agreed. Like any politician's stupid remarks, his fans will try to spin it, but all they are telling people is "Believe us, not your lying ears".

If a Democrat tells you they won't support Pelosi if they get elected they are lying to your face. It's like saying they don't want to ban guns or they want a secure border.

Taking up for wacky Brennan while calling -anyone- else irrational? And yet another LW irony universe bangs into existence. Also, learn what "despotic" means. There are very few despotic regimes in the world today, and the United States, whether under President Obama or President Trump, is not remotely close to despotism.

Taking up for a president who is removing security clearances to punish those who speak out against him huh. You're really brave, not, and deserve the despotic regime that's come our way.

He hasn't had any despotic actions certainly far fewer than Obama who routinely sent the security apparatus after reporters that he thought hadn't treated him fairly which in Obama-lama-land meant didn't sufficiently kiss his ass.
