MANY OF THEM! Hell, maybe most! YOU BET YOUR A! I can take a couple of shots or 3 or 4 or 6 at a gator in my backyard or an intruder coming into my house. I DON'T NEED WARfare style guns to mow down 26 little kids and teachers in 4.5 minutes in 4 rooms (most of that time was walking between classrooms finding the little kids and their teachers to shoot!!)

weepy weepy.so much emotionalism....................like sure it really happened....no graves , no headstones. lots of anti-gun rhetoric
you have no idea what your Rights are, but you're sure willing to give mine away.
You have, truly, no idea of the outcome. You do know that the rest of us weren't there, but you're sure willing to hang these on responsible gun owners.
    Let the witchhunts begin anew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what "WARfare style guns" are but I suppose that you are correct. You probably wouldn't need to own one "to mow down 26 little kids and teachers in 4.5 minutes in 4 rooms".

It is thought by some that the 1911 handgun is the most common firearm in the United States. You could use that firearm, that was introduced over a century ago, to shoot 26 people while only having to reload three times and still have a couple of rounds to spare.

Sorry, but your knee jerkiness and over-emotionalism won't solve the problem that you describe. You've essentially resigned yourself to being completely irrelevant on the issue.

OK because before in the other posts lefties said they didn't want to ban guns, then I find in other threads they actually make statements saying they want to ban them. Second hand smoke killed more innocent people yesterday than your warfare style gun scenarios. Do you want cigarettes banned since they are by far more dangerous?

Sometimes the gun grabbers are not deliberately lying.

Their opinions are based on emotion rather than logic so in times of stress they do want to ban all the guns.

But at other times they may convince themselves that they don't plan to go that far.

You Sir are exactly correct. That is why I didn't bother to go back and gather the comments from the other threads where lefties stated they definitely would never ban guns. They have knee jerk reactions to only what is current. If you note, they all want guns banned except for when they need them. Like when Rosie O'donnell shouts she wants them banned except for when she needs them to protect her and her large mass of hypocrisy.

You realize "lefties" are different people with a range of views, right?

I believe that he is speaking of individuals that say they want to ban guns on one day and then disavow ever holding such a position on the next. I can think of one particular poster who does this regularly.

I think that is somewhat standard fare in the world of the gun control lobby. They spend years saying they don't want to ban anything but are just after "common sense legislation", then as soon as they get their legislation passed they move on to more stringent demands that many times do include bans. Honestly, I think it is a (*)(*)(*)(*) poor strategy on their part so I actually encourage them to continue in that fashion. Shows them for what they are.

What kind of "gun" do you use a pellet gun?

Why do you shoot at alligators in your backyard?

For the sake of arguement, lets say that the Black Panther Party were leftwing, based on their nieghborhood breakfast program, etc.. Then in response to a number of Police shootings of Black nieghborhood residents, they took to open carry, to, as they said police the Police. Did not the right wing government of Oakland prohibit open carry?
p.s. There is only one correct answer.

You bring up an excellent point, though I have the feeling that it was inadvertent on your part. It is common knowledge that many gun control laws came immediately on the heels of civil rights legislation and/or in response to citizens (usually minorities) standing up for their rights.

That is why any person who belongs to a class or group of people who have been historically subjugated or have had atrocities committed against them, and people who care about freedom and justice for all human beings, should be very leery when the gun control lobby and their minions start barking like madmen.

Not sure I heard about police going around shooting innocent black people. Can you provide a link before I answer of what happened. I am unaware of anything happening in Oakland.

I'm all for a concealed gun permit, but toting assault rifles is senseless posturing that makes the public nervous. It's also despicable to do so just days after a school shooting. Part of me actually hopes they post his license plate online, just so I can watch the bastards get sued.

Clearly...those who carry assault weapons in public are making a point, and unfortunately not bright enough to understand what that point actually is.

Hey y'all,,,,I kin carry my gun wherever Ah want.
Uh....did you see the sign we made, please leave.

    Good job Bubba...mission accomplished.

This is a link to something that happened in Detroit and has nothing to do with Oakland police shooting black people because they are black. Your article says the police were there because the dead girls father provided a gun used in a murder. Sounds like the parents are the reason the girl was placed in a dangerous situation in the first place not the police. Im sure the police would have rather not been there. Still awful situation, but I see no race motivation. Police shoot innocent white people by accident too.

The article you cited is an unfortunate accident brought on because of the dead girls parents poor life decisions not because the police wanted to kill black people. You have yet to cite the Oakland situations where cops are going around killing people because they are black.
Love the bolded part. Its fun to see people who still think its 1970.
