The vapid content of your response says volumes.

Your response was utter nonsense. China isn't communist. They oppress their people they play the fair game, but boy do they love a good ole capitalist country!

History is on my side, not yours.

That you could not a refute a single aspect of what I posted is duly noted.

Are you denying that the communist Chinese have evolved their form of government to include capitalism?

    Agreed!

The ability to distinguish the difference seems to be notably lacking on that side of the aisle for some reason.

    Your deflection is duly noted.

The RELY on capitalism to stay afloat (they rely on US). Their "communist" government would be nothing without us.

The left claim that they can't compete because of the color of their skin. That meets the original definition of a racist.

Yes and Nazis had socialism in their name. LIke you said there's a big difference between democratic socialism and autocratic socialism.

But to compare people who believe in universal healthcare, a strong social safety net and free education with commies and nazis, lumping them into the same "socialist" bucket, is disingenuous at best. Marx had little to do with lenin other than to provide him with the ideological cover to cement the dictatorship.

Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, and just about every other "industrialized" nation on earth embrace democratic principles.

Last time I looked america did too, or do you simply wish to ignore american socialist programs and services.

    Do the Left claim that?

In any case, you are on shaky ground if the proposition is that racism exists only on the Left!

Now, back to those 14% 0f Americans who are living in poverty.

Current estimates on poverty in the U.S. The official poverty rate is 12.7 percent, based on the U.S. Census Bureau's 2016 estimates. That year, an estimated 43.1 million Americans lived in poverty according to the official measure. According to
supplemental poverty measure, the poverty rate was 14.0 percent.

The break down by race is shown here:

    https://www.kff.org/other/state-ind...0&sortModel={"colId":"Location","sort":"asc"}

Note that the poverty rate among whites is 9%, blacks 22%, indicating that millions of either race are blighted by poverty.

Do you have any solutions (other than indifference?)

Certainly the above realities might have something to do with the topic of this thread!

If the Immigration Act of 1965 never became law and if we actually had secured borders and enforced the immigration laws that are already on the books, America's poverty rate would be maybe 5% or less. (?)

Black Americans got kicked in the balls by liberal policies.

"No body wins...unless everybody wins." :roflol::roflol::roflol:

There will always be winners and losers in society.

What use to make America different from the rest of the world, when you tripped or found your dick in the dirt, you were able to get back up and give it another try.

Today when your dick is in the dirt there's someone who puts a monkey on your back making it pretty difficult to get back on your feet.

As the world effectively gets smaller and closer (due to better media, travel, etc.) America will become more like Europe, and vice-versa, and Europe has many many socialist parties, so it's not unexpected. A TWO-party political system is probably not the natural state of a democracy anyway, as Europe shows.

Debatable, but anyway, there are 43 million in poverty now. (cf c.45 million in Mexico.... no chance there's something wrong with the global financial system?).

You mean ....like liberal policies destroyed Detroit? No chance there's something wrong with the global financial system?

Well we know that's nonsense in the current global neoliberal system; eg in the GFC, John Paulson booked $2 billion for himself in a clever derivative play, while millions were simultaneously forced out their homes (bolstering Buffet's claim that "derivatives are financial weapons of mass destruction").

Certainly that's true while the globe is saddled with the current IMF and neo-liberal economic system. But no-one need be living in poverty, because there are sufficient resources to guarantee universal above poverty level participation in the economy (and those who want to make billions can still do so).

It might seem that way to you, but economic survival in the modern global economy is far too complex to be solely up to the individual. (Remember Detroit, and more generally, the entire First World 'rust belt').

[The sad part is: with international oversight of the global economy, as suggested by Keynes at the Bretton Woods conference (in 1944, in a design for a new global financial system after WW2), government would not need to tax private citizens to raise funds for welfare, because every citizen would be gainfully employed in the economy at above poverty level (at a minimum) - and your despised "monkey on the backs" of the rugged individualists amongst us would disappear].

We have a generation that woke up from a smoke filled life at 30 and they find that life has gone on without them and all they have left are false ideals and the bedroom they grew up in at mom and dads. No clue what happened except that someone has cheated them in some way.

How does socialism invite dissent? In socialism the individual's rights and freedoms are those granted by the collective. dissent would have to be prohibited or the power of the collective would be nil.

The alt right is not an organization with any coordination or vision or statement.

Socialism on the other hand does have coordination and vision and written goals and ideals. Meaning your statement is BS and unsupportable.

    Actually it has not.

Poverty was slowly but steadily in decline before Johnson massively expanded the welfare state and declared war on poverty but since 1965 it has risen.

Not steadily as it has occasionally declined some but only to reverse and increase again. It has never declined to pre 1965 levels.

The US provides social services to its citizens.

Capitalism in the US is hardly "unfettered".

The alt right also has coordination. They have a vision with written goals and ideals. There are major differences amongst the various fringe groups but they share as much as they differ. Meaning your statement is BS and unsupportable too.

    Keep trying.

okay, i guess people can never make observations about a group of people that isn't a codified organization, because things like "describing subcultures" is just impossible
