House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says socialism is ‘not the view’ of the Democratic Party

Welfare programs aren't socialism, they're handouts, and I hope you stretched before reaching like that, but we have the CDC to protect us against disease. Not having a national health care program has never, once, led to that to any kind of outbreak of epidemic.

 

There is no such thing as corporate greed. The word "corporate" presupposes maximizing profits. What you are talking about is corruption. (Crony capitalism) Our government is corrupt and can never be trusted with the amount of power socialism gives them.

100%. That was the original intent. There was never supposed to be a job called, "politician." Private citizens were supposed to go to DC, do their thing, and return to private life ASAP.

My wish is:
2 term Senator. Can never reapply for senator job, but can apply for other elected jobs after a two year waiting period.
1 term Rep: Can reapply for any elected job, including Rep, after skipping one Rep term.

They need a break from the cesspool. Living in it is what causes corruption. Get a brand new House for the country every two years.

This will reduce the power any one Congress Creature can have. They should all be equal, outside the Gang of 8's special privileges, which is important to the security of this country. Corruption will slow down dramatically.

This is nothing but wishful thinking on my part. The people who have the ability to make the change have zero incentive to do so.
