I for one hope that people put their feet to the fire to prevent this kind of dysfunction in the future.
New rules for the Senate and the House to force bipartisanship. Such as allowing any bill or confirmation be allowed to go to the floor for debate if 40% of members vote to do so. No more committee chairs or speakers or majority leader unilaterally blocking actions.
Return the votes needed for confirmation back to 60 in the senate with a caveat that if the vacancies exceed a certain % then the number drops to a majority. It was first lowered because Republicans blocked so many nominations that the judiciary couldn't function for lack of judges. OK, make sure they can operate but also make sure some are held to a higher standard requiring bipartisanship. To be safe make a rule that this rule can only be changed by a 75 or better vote. If this is implemented the Supreme Court will make a sharp turn to the middle as extremists won't get the votes. On this subject, do away with the pro forma sessions where someone bangs a gavel, says "The Senate is in session" bangs it again "The session is closed" and goes home. This is simply to prevent a president from making a recess appointment.

Do what we the people want, work together, compromise if needed but get to work.

 

Not to mention expensive. It's much cheaper when they go to hospitals insured rather than using the emergency room for non-emergency cases because the ERs can't refuse them. It makes ERs cheaper for all when needed because far fewer benevolence cases means paying patients don't have to pick up the slack.

 

How about just deporting them when they show up at the hospital?

Republicans gained several seats in house, senate highly likely to remain red and president Trump, who was supposed to lose horribly, lost a very tight election which took 4 days to decide... he ended up with the second highest vote count of any candidate in history... leaves the white house strong.

You know, i don't feel too bad about this election. I actually have always liked Biden, i just think he won't last. Biden is going to disappoint the radical left and now he has the backing to do so as there was no blue wave and radical left movement rejected in house and senate races. Also, Biden is reiterating unity will be a goal and he knows AOC and the radical left need to be reprimanded as he seems to indicate he will have no patience of those who demonize the opposition. I just hope he stays alive for at least half of the 4 years... Biden is a democrat i could've voted for if he were younger. (not over Trump though).. closest to JFK democrat i can think of... the rest would make JFK puke.
