You are correct, laws are useless if not enforced. Which is the reason not to make more laws that will not be enforced.

Ah, so here we have it. Don't have laws that might stop people being murdered because you have no idea how to enforce them.

As, I said, enjoy your "freedom" to be killed and maimed.

We have such laws. And they work. Funny that.

Stop crime and you stop killings. Private citizens with guns stop crime.

Banning all guns has the same effect as banning making alcohol or marijuana illegal. Organized crime becomes more commonplace, other criminal offenses become more prevalent, and the risk associated with such a product is amplified.

I see you love to fly in the face of the facts. You have a murder rate only you could admire.

How is gun ownership controlling that?

I suspect it is a race thing. You want to protect yourselves against the threat you perceive from descendents of Afro-American slaves you still keep enslaved.

Read the link and see how citizens owning guns stops crimes and murders. You refuse to address the links I have posted because they prove you wrong. Your lies are not working here just showing you are not credible and that you have no integrity.

No, it means that if they do not enforce laws already on the books, then what good will come of more laws that the people who obey them were not the threat. The second amendment does not prevent enforcement that is the fault of our legal system. What kind of control laws are you referring that work in your country?

Integrity? You are now becoming risible.

Facts? How is gun ownership protecting you from the highest murder rate in the civilised world?

Part of the problem is culture; many Americans consider guns part of what is normally considered a negative lifestyle, such as gang culture. Part of gun control is tackling the negative societal norms that arise from gun usage.

Read my links and learn. More guns in citizens hands and the rate lowers. Ban and murder increases. My link on Washington DC shows that. Read my links and learn

I am one who believes race is a social construct, gun control first uses in my country was to prevent them from protecting themselves. Even the data you provide show the firearms being the main cause of death under age 44, that is with them being the demographic that owns legal firearms at a lower level than other groups.

I agree completely but the term is used to promote prohibition for the most part. I think other methods of violence prevention would be more effective.

I thought it had some very good ideas, most people do not know much about the militia act of 1903. That makes all males 17-45 members of the reserve or unorganized militia. I agree sex and age discrimination should be changed to make it apply to all Americans. I was a little confused by the making firearms more available but seeing that you are from New York the laws are more oppressive than where I am from.

Personally, the only reason why I would ever utilize a gun is for hunting purposes in order to feed my family. I am not the violent type nor the gun crazed individual. The reason why I would loosen existing gun acquisition laws is for the same reasons why one would loosen laws on alcohol or marijuana. Restrictive legislation leads to organized crime, greater individual criminal offenses, and the risk associated with such a product is amplified.

Unravelling that was a severe test for even my intellect.

And I must admit I did not succeed. It seems I do not drift as you do.

LOL, I apologize I do get carried away sometimes.
The first gun control in my country was used to prevent African Americans from having firearms.

The data you had included in your first post that said the leading cause of death in African Americans was firearm related. I was attempting to explain that was with them being the group with the lowest reported firearm ownership rates.

In a earlier post ,I had asked what controls did you find effective in your own country?
