So in cultures where there are no rich people, you believe that everyone would perish because there are no rich people to private work and facilitate trade. LOL.

you said survival of the fittest has nothing to do with science, and survival of the least fit through welfare from the rich or most fit was a viable philosophy. You realized you were being absurd and tried to change subject with above gibberish. Are you still a liberal?

???? your claim was that I wanted no govt. I bet you $10,000 I did not say that. You then tried to change the subject hoping no one would notice you lost another one.

When R.Reagan and Tip ONeill cut taxes for everybody but mostly for the rich the taxes were really high and it made a big difference in disposable income.

Plus the record Reagan deficits stimulated the economy even more.

Today taxes are already quite low and cannot be cut that much especially not for the rich who like Romney and Trump are paying very little -- 14% for Romney and 20% for Trump.

Plus the skyrocketing deficits it would cause will be defeated by the Far Right Fringe of the GOP.

So don't hold your breath on this, Anybody.

We can cut taxes until our debt balloons to infinity, it's a political choice that seems to dominate economics constantly. At some point, the national debt becomes meaningless as long as none of us want to pay more taxes. I see a future where national debt becomes a means of inserting cash into the system through investment vehicles. It will reward the wealthy who buy the bonds but it will also keep taxes low. Economists differ on what the long term affect of massive deficits really are, its just fiat money folks, its all just a keystroke away from some banker somewhere and poof, more money appears in an account. Its all just an illusion.

no idea why you would say that given a good percentage of our taxes go pay the national debt. The $240 billion they collect from us for the debt payments is no illusion.

As Romney reported, approximately 47 percent of the public pays no income taxes to the Federal goverment used for operations or other than social security and health taxes.

There is the spending side too. It is far more about reverting to best era taxation than continuing the worse era tax system.

today the top 1% pay 42% of all taxes collected while under Reagan they paid only 20%. Ripping off the rich is ripping off everyone since they are the ones who provide our jobs, products needed for survival, and our government.

    Using your words james:

" I then asked for an example of a̶ ̶s̶o̶c̶i̶a̶l̶i̶s̶t̶ ̶n̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ and he was afraid to answer so deflected with the gibberish above."

I'll assume that was "gibberish" meant to "deflect".

The Indians did pretty until the Europeans came along. I mean if you are correct, every culture should have rich people or they will starve.

ah great!!!!that's perfectly and 100% typical illiterate liberalism at its very best. The Indians were actually a superior culture and we whites ruined it!! In fact, Indians were savages who fought to the death for territory and the food it contained very much like wild animals.

Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker wrote in 2007, "quantitative body counts—such as the proportion of prehistoric skeletons with ax marks and embedded arrowheads or the proportion of men in a contemporary foraging tribe who die at the hands of other men—suggest that pre-state societies were far more violent than our own." According to Pinker, the 17th-century philosopher Thomas Hobbes "got it right" when he called pre-state life a "war of all against all."

Pinker based his view on books such as War Before Civilization: The Myth of the Peaceful Savage (Oxford University Press, 1996) by the anthropologist Lawrence Keeley of the University of Illinois, and Constant Battles: The Myth of the Peaceful, Noble Savage (Saint Martin's Press, 2003) by the archaeologist Steven LeBlanc of Harvard. "The dogs of war were seldom on a leash" in the pre-Colombian New World, Keeley wrote.

????? no idea what your point is?????Do you still need evidence that the purpose of our Constitution was to oppose liberalism and that liberals oppose America?

taxing consumption means you get less consumption. Hard to imagine why that would be better. Better is for govt to spend less thus less of our hard earned money gets wasted.

    Thomas Jefferson:
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

You mean East/West Germany, Cuba /Florida, Taiwan/Communist China, North/South Korea are not in the real world? China just switched to Republican capitalism and eliminated 40% of the poverty on earth. Do you get it now? Kansas cut taxes and people were freed from govt. That's a very very good thing!!

Gov. Sam Brownback’s supply-side economics experiment in Kansas is over.

Last week, the Republican-controlled Kansas legislature took the remarkable step of overriding the governor’s veto, finally repealing his signature tax cuts. Those tax cuts, which reduced personal income tax rates and imposed no tax at all on many kinds of business income, went into effect in 2013, and were touted by Brownback and other leading supply-side figures as the best way to boost growth, bring back jobs, and make Kansas richer.

But now, almost five years into Brownback’s “real live experiment” in trickle-down economics, the evidence from the experiment is in. Brownback’s hypothesis about taxes and growth was decidedly not proved. And even Kansas Republicans have had enough.
