Closest you will get with the exception of Bernie. Are you bragging about belief in a tried and true failure?

my support for someone even as soft-left as bernie is purely opportunistic and reluctant, as much as i'll praise him when it's him vs anyone else.

Mmm, the tax cut will be applied to the W2 schedules so you will see an increase in your take home pay come February. In most people’s book that is a raise, assuming you work.

So raising your take home pay isn’t raising your take home pay. Liberal logic 101.

    My salary does not increase.

My take home pay increases, but it also may not as I can no longer deduct myself as a dependent.

At the end of the year my take home pay might actually be lower.

No, a raise is when an employer increases your salary.

I know this is way over your head but try to concentrate.

So by your logic you get a raise by moving in a higher tax bracket but bring home less money?

A raise means your employer has increased your salary.

But your logic your salary has gone down if tax rates increase.

    And that's ignorant silliness.

Sorry Sherlock, but a "raise" means your employer has increased your salary.

Now, I will give you that if you do earn minimum wage and govt. increases minimum wage, you do get an automatic raise.

But a tax rate increase or decrease does not affect your salary, so it can't logically be considered a salary increase or decrease.

I know this is really hard for you, but keep trying.
