Oh please, not more of your daft conspiracy nonsense! Nuclear weapons are a reality. Do some basic research before making a fool of yourself. You looked at some photographs, saw that the destruction caused by different weapons which cause fires looks the same, and concluded therefore that there are no nuclear weapons? Sheer genius. Tokyo and other cities were, at the time, predominantly built of wood. Nuclear bombs produce heat, a great deal of heat. Heat burns things. Like wooden buildings, and people. Conventional bombs, like napalm for example also produce a lot of heat which burns things. Like wooden buildings. And people.

    There; simple enough for you?

This is rubbish. Total, unalloyed rubbish. But, wait a minute, just now you maintained that there are no nuclear weapons, and now you're saying there's no difference between fire bombing and a nuke (which doesn't exist)? Are you getting a little confused dear?

Yep; the Twin Towers weren't felled by aeroplanes (or at all; in fact they were holograms), Kennedy never was assassinated and is alive and well, living in Kansas, there was no soldier killed by nutters in London recently and the entire fabric of the universe is an illusion. I think that probably covers it.

Israel is known the world over as ‘the home of the Jews’ or by similar terms of accuracy. So for that and other reasons I find it offensive no I find it repulsive when anyone, or any individual, nation or group accuses Israel, and by proxy the Jewish people as demonic monsters bent on genocide. Not only are accusations of genocide made and spread like so much manure on the world, like a farmer would spread said manure as organic fertilizer, the verbal fertilizer that haters of the west spread range in subject from A to Z against Isreal and the west in general . So why do some people, most of them ignorant of who they are really working for have a need to do harm to the Jewish people? That answer too off topic for this reply. However, suffice to say it's not Israel or the Jewish people that are demon inspired to commit such verbal atrocities, therefore who does that leave as agents of hate and temporal worldly greed? And I will add that even the haters of the west etc have a boss down below that is their commander in chief shot caller.

As for the apology to the Japanese I have mixed feelings. Things, such as solutions to problems etc that are applied in War or for war or to end war are far different than what would be done in peace time to solve the same problem. Also there is much truth in the saying that ‘hindsite is 20/20‘. Anyone might do things differently if they had the advantage of knowing the future. Lastly, WW2 was SEVENTY YEARS AGO. The world is far different in 2013 than it was in 1948 including the worlds sensibilities and sadly that includes even the ethics and morals of the world. What is and is not acceptable today isn’t the same as in the late 40’s! Add its war time with a war weary world the prospect of millions of OUR USA people dying and the glass isn’t so dark at least to me. Anyway all this if read will most likely fall on deaf ears but it has to be said by someone eh?

You are actually being disingenuous. The US Strategic Bombing Survey interviewed 700 Japanese military and political officials after the war, and came to this conclusion:

"Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts and supported by the testimony of the surviving Japanese leaders involved, it is the Survey's opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945, and in all probability prior to 1 November 1945, Japan would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped, even if Russia had not entered the war, and even if no invasion had been planned or contemplated."

On August 2, the Japanese foreign office sent a message to the Japanese ambassador in Moscow:

"There are only a few days left in which to make arrangements to end the war... As for the definite terms... it is our intention to make the Potsdam Three-Power Declaration [which called for unconditional surrender] the basis for the study regarding these terms."

Barton Bernstein, a Stanford historian, comments:

"The message, like earlier ones, was probably intercepted by American intelligence and decoded. It had no effect on American policy... They were unwilling to take risks in order to save Japanese lives."

After the war, American scholar Robert Butow went through the papers of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the records of the International Military Tribunal of the Far East, and the interrogation files of the US Army. He also interviewed many of the Japanese principals and came to this conclusion:

"Had the allies given the Prince (Prince Konoye, special emissary to Moscow, who was working on a Russian intercession for peace) a week of grace in which to obtain his Government's support for the acceptance of proposals, the war might have ended toward the latter part of July or the very beginning of the month of August, without the atomic bomb and without Soviet participation in the conflict."

The scientist Leo Szilard met with President Truman's main policy adviser, secretary of state Byrnes, in May 1945 and reported later: "Byrnes did not argue that it was necessary to use the bomb against the cities of Japan in order to win the war... Mr Byrnes' view was that our possessing and demonstrating the bomb would make Russia more manageable."

    American historian Howard Zinn comments:

"The end of dropping the bomb seems, from the evidence, to have been not winning the war, which was already assured, not saving lives, for it was highly probable no American invasion would be necessary, but the aggrandisement of American national power at the moment and in the postwar period... For the idea that any means - mass murder, the misuse of science, the corruption of professionalism - are acceptable to achieve the end of national power, the ultimate example of our time is Hiroshima."

    http://www.medialens.org/index.php/...esponse-media-alert-the-bbc-on-hiroshima.html

It is clear that the argument which asserts the bombing of Hiroshima was necessary to end the Second World War and to save American lives is a bogus one?

    I was thinking that both sides in WW2 killed civilians (all wars are guilty of that crime). WAIT! Maybe the Japanese of that era are morally superior and treat civilians differently in war than the evil west? Hmmm’ Well, I can think of many rebuttals to that lie. For example a few sources ;

What angers me is the 'great hypocrisy' against the west and Israel. To hear the usual suspects of the world and this forum tell it only the west or certain other nations did evil in wartime etc, or are just plain evil incarnate in everything they do, which is of course a LIE of titanic proportions. Nothing stinks quite as bad as hypocrisy of that magnitude. Its like a decomposing whale that happens to somehow beach itself inside your flat. Impossible to ignore and it seems impossible to get rid of. Lets hope that isn’t the case with the reeking hypocrisy that has found residence in some areas of otherwise great internet forums.

Hollywood does shi't like that all the time so that is cannot be counted as proof anymore not in this day and age. We have to question absolutely everything.

Two pics of Nagasaki with, different back grounds as though taken at different times as the plane . moved along but and yet the mushroom is exactly the same in both shots.

That is ye old photoshopy stuff.

If there were such a thing as a Nuke, no way in this World would it not have been used since WWII ....no way.

Nowhere do I ever see serious discussions on the science of it all, nor for that matter on rockets, it is all simply taken as gospel ............... well it ain't gospel no politics is, it is the opposite of.

Uh huh; the Holocaust was over 70 years ago but the Jews never miss an opportunity to remind us about it, and that they're still victims, despite the passage of time. Was it acceptable?

It's not exactly the same on the two photos, if you take anything more than a superficial look.
You do realize that a mushroom cloud can stay stable for quite some time, right?

No, they are not exactly the same, and more than a cursory glance clearly shows the base of the top section of the cloud to be broader in the photograph on the right. You are aware that a Boeing B29 bomber doesn't have the ability to hover, perspective changes with the position of the viewer, and that smoke, and nice, friendly clouds of water vapour, can appear to stay the same in appearance for quite some time?
As to the science behind nuclear weapons and their effects; see that little box that enables you to search the web? Use it, as I have done here (you're evidently quite capable of finding anti-Semitic, Holocaust denial conspiracy sites): http://www.atomicheritage.org/mediawiki/index.php/The_Science_Behind_the_Atom_Bomb

There is a difference in the reasoning behind the events of the holocaust and the use of the A bomb. One event was to end a war the other was a attempt to wipe out a people because the ‘race’ was thought inferior. If the bomb had been dropped in peace time in an attempt to wipe out the Japanese race you would have a point. Of course that was not the case. Lastly I used the passage of time to show that this generation of people can not understand what it was like living in a nation still in the throes of a world war where every family had had loved ones killed etc, of course I am speaking from a USA perspective because the USA dropped the bomb. Personally I dont know what my feelings would have been if I had lived in that time. But most of the world that were not allies of the Germans or the Japanese considered dropping an A bomb to end the war seemed like a near no brainier. Hindsight is 20/20 ..oh I already said that...but to no avail it seems. However to kill and torture millions or any number in an attempt to destroy a race simply because the race is hated is the same moral atrocity today as it was then, there are absolutely NO quantifying reasons to torture medically experiment rape and murder millions just because they are thought to be inferior etc.

Of course if you feel the Nazis were morally correct in their solution to the Jewish problem ie were correct in the torture and other atrocities that would explain everything. And there are those that hate the Jewish people and feel they should be exterminated to this day. So SS, what are your true feelings about today’s Jewish people and those of WW2? By that I mean the Final Solution arrived at by the WW2 Nazis and their treatment of the Jewish people etc.

Ah.... put a sock in it, you moslem apologists. So whats the BFD? One politically incorrect Israeli person made an insensitive remarks, and the Nation has apologized for it. That's democracy for you. End of story.

How often moslems made terrible, horrific statements, and how often their Nations apologized on behalf of their citizens? How often Australian Government apologized for the stupid, idiotic, racist, fascist Fatwas, decreed by Australian muftis? HA! :roflol:

I would say neither is a lie. The bomb was dropped but was it necessary? Hindsight = 20/20. As a vet I know if I were a WW2 combat vet getting ready to invade the Japanese homeland I most likely would been all for dropping the bomb because I am afraid of dying while trying to pacify the people of Japan, most of who would die before they would give up. But Hindsight = 20/20, did I already say that? lol.

As for the Holocaust, IMO there are far, far, far and away too many accounts, pictures, eyewitness accounts etc, not just from the americans but from the russians and others some were even our enemies. And most all matched meaning they were for the most part truthful. Then there are the actual German records the confessions of Germans, the crematoriums etc etc. Way, WAY too much evidence to confirm the final solution was all too horrifically real. However, I am not so set in my ways not to agree that there may be inaccuracies, some epic in scope to embelish or for what ever reason in some accounts etc. That is a near given.

That is one of the arguments made, that the bomb could have been demonstrated on one of the hundreds of small islands in the Japanese archipelago, either vacant or one with only a couple hundred civilians. The same point would have been made but Truman needed hundreds of thousands of deaths plus the lingering effect of the radiation to make drive it home to the Russians.

I'll say it one more time, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were originally on the targets bombing list but removed to leave them intact so the full effect of an A bomb, including hundreds of thousands of casualties, would be known to the Russians and the world.
