I'm not partisan at all. I spread my hatred for the parties equally. The "Why" isn't important. Why do the die hard partisans insist on attacking family members of the POTUS? (Notice how I didn't pick a party? Reason is that BOTH SIDES do this.) The Obama girls were called some nasty things during the Obama years and they were young; not even remotely part of the administration. Ivanka is fair game. Period. She can be satirized and picked on with careless abandon.
Upon checking you are correct (she didn't have one last May) but she is not formulating policy for the country the way Michelle Obama was.
She's actively working on implementing policy, specifically related to federal policy on family leave. That's at least as important as what the schools serve for lunch.
I think the point is the left pitched a sh!t storm of a fit whenever Michelle Obama was criticized because she wasn't fair game, in their view, although they all now feel free to attack Ivanka Trump because they say she is fair game. So I guess once more, the problem is the left's duplicitous double standards.

No one in the media MSM is going after Trump's family members who are not part of his administration, or are not WH staff, or are not appointed to serve some official function. For example if the MSM went after Baron they would be wrong on two counts: one he is a child, and second he is not in the administration.

Michelle was attacked fairly regularly - - there are still people running around calling her Michael; literally claiming she is not the mother of her children. So, I take all these insults with a grain of salt. Each team tries to outdo the other team with every new administration. That's why it gets progressively nastier. My favorite? "But they did it tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo." Literally the cry of every partisan saying hateful, mean spirited, ugly and untrue things about the families of the other team.

What are you talking about? I never called Ivanka a ghoul, nor do I think of her as one. I think she's a highly intelligent and competent person. I also think Michelle Obama is a highly intelligent and competent person. I don't want people attacking either of them; in fact, I'd rather like it if everyone would stop attacking people and only attack ideas. You need to do a bit more research. Apparently, you are completely unaware of the way Fox, especially Hannity, went after Michelle. Also, remember when Trump's campaign chair in NY suggested that Obama return to her natural state as a male gorilla? C'mon... this game is old. First of all, any American who went over there to celebrate the loathsome mistake Trump made in moving the embassy is going to be vilified in the press. She was attacked, quitely lightly btw, for celebrating a tragedy. She was attacked for representing Trump.
