Pretty much yeah. This helps to explain one of the reasons properties remain in dilapidated conditions. Slumlords are allowed to keep renting properties they shouldn’t.

Better question to ask is “if Fatback and other conservatives are laughing and denying systemic racism exists in this thread, is that sufficient proof of why black people might not trust conservatives and want to be in their own communities?

 

I don't know, maybe a day or two at a hotel or something. These buildings were built circa-1900 and no it wasn't because they hated negroes. It was the best construction had at the time.

Well that’s probably proof you don’t really get it. You know the landlord is supposed to provide you with a safe place to live right? And will want to know why a person is painting the unit. You need a landlords permission to do that. You’re talking about a project that can cost hundreds of dollars, to families who can’t afford that. You realize that right?

 

I'm sure the landlord if he's a smart real estate guy, wouldn't mind if people picked up the tab for modernizing his apartments/homes. As a matter of fact, real estate students are taught to save for 10% of expenses in repairs.

 

You don't understand liberal speak. "Forced to live there" means free or government subsidized housing. If you want to live somewhere else you have to pay for it and making blacks pay for anything is racist. Whites can afford to pay for it because money falls from racist trees just for them; especially those pine and fir trees. See how the branches are pointed down so the money slides off right into white people's pockets? Lets the KKK hoods slip on easy too.

 

Do you think a slumlord keeping their property in a dilapidated state unfit for living in has the money for repairs? The unique problem is that such landlords are going to be around and stay around. Because if the city won’t do anything about them (or can’t as the case is now becoming) then why not keep the properties dilapidated? There will always be a customer in the best or worst of times. And you’re not living there so who cares if some random child gets lead poisoning? You and your kids won’t go to school with them so just relax.

It’s very easy to create and enable moral monsters when the system is designed to let them flourish.

Forced to live there means playing by the rules of the game. Try again. It doesn’t take a genius to realize there is a game going on when the stats point to the same conclusion: we live in a segregated world.

Says the one denying environmental racism and laughing at it. I hate to say it but it’s this attitude th at racism isn’t real that makes black people want to stay in their own community.

Im not the one saying trees can run away.

My mistake I was basically combing health regulations, environmental policies and redlining together that created this problem here. That is my mistake.

 

Reading. I read books and articles on racism in the US. Government reports too.

 

You should try going outside in reality sometimes. The black side of town here has hundreds of grand old live oak trees.
