Bombshell...Flynn's Judge asked if he wanted to pull his plea in light of the intel Mueller had released....speaks volumes of how the Judge viewed the tactics. With that said, totally understand Flynn wanting to get this behind him,

David Ignatius, who broke the conversation story in January 2017, just said it was a "bizarre move" and "bad tactical mistake" by Flynn's lawyers to suggest Flynn was manipulated into lying by the FBI at the 11th hour..

This was a case of Flynn not being convicted of doing anything wrong, but of misleading investigators when he was asked about it. He was convicted of “downplaying his interactions” with Kislyak. He apparently testified that he’d only spoken to foreign officials to ask them “where they stood” on a particular UN vote, not to attempt to influence them. (If you think we don’t try to leverage our relationships with other nations to get them to vote our way in the UN, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.)

This has gone down exactly as I said it would from the very beginning... they will search high and low for SOMEONE to charge, and those charges will have nothing to do with the intent of the investigation.
