People are charged, tried, convicted and imprisoned for negligent homicide all the time.

This has nothing to do with my post and is a straw man.

I was directly responding to this part of your post:
“Should people go to jail for accidents where they at no time made a conscience decision which clearly could lead to the accident?”

Yet, you never answered the question and then came up with a straw man. The question said nothing about negligent homocide or negligence. Negligence comes in all forms and types and is a far more vague word.

    Here's a lawyer to explain it to you . . .

Who cares what some random idiot on the internet says ("Lawyer" or not)?

    The Bottom Line is,THIS:

The ONLY "Opinions" that mattered were the Opinions of the 12 Jurors.

Any Random Idiot can post a video about their Opinion.
And, if they aren't on The Jury, it doesn't matter.

Potter will do fine in Prison.
    5 Years Served Seems Fair.
She could do that standing on her head.

When the liberal Left thinks that it's fine and dandy for an INNOCENT person to stuck in prison for ANY length of time, and that Kim Potter should be able to handle an illegitimate prison sentence of even five years, "doing fine", "standing on her head" -- that's when we KNOW that Justice is permanently brought down to the level seen in other countries where Kangaroo Court was the rule, not the exception.

You mean if something completely different happened would it be different?
    Yah I think so

    Potter is NOT "INNOCENT".

She is a CONVICTED Murderous Felon.

Bullshit! Unless, of course, you think that you're better qualified to comment on this legal travesty than ALAN DERSHOWITZ:
    Link: https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/alan-dershowitz-kim-potter-bail-appeal/2021/12/25/id/1049930/

Or, maybe that your opinion has greater weight than retired police Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith, now a spokeswoman for the National Police Association! Link: https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/betsy-brantner-smith-police-kim-potter/2021/12/24/id/1049873/

But, the hyperliberal Left can feel smug and satisfied, knowing now that this verdict should mostly satisfy the same BLM/ANTIFA mobs that might very likely would have staged another round of rioting, burning, looting revivals of the same kind they pulled over the death of criminal counterfeiter, Saint George Floyd!

The police were not giving her instructions. Prove your claim they were.

Was she in the process of being arrested and violently resisting that arrest?

That's good advice, but if your job makes it mandatory that you carry a toy 'gun' on the same belt that you carry a real weapon of law enforcement, then you must obey or get fired!

Maybe some better advice to a police officer in Minne-EHH-polis would be this: NEVER stop a car that is being driven by a Black -- for any reason -- EVER! Just don't do it! Look the other way, pretend you saw nothing, and go on counting the hours and the days until you can finally retire, start collecting your pension, and move the hell OUT of Minne-EHH-polis for good!

I disagree with this verdict and the kyle one, but I was not a member of the jury in either - much of a trial is based on the luck of the jury you get, just like with the OJ case

this is another I disagree with

As far as the truck driver goes, he made an obvious choice not to take the truck ramp made for brake loss. How does not make you believe he chose to plow over cars rather than soft gravel?

yep, he made a bad choice, just like the officer when she grabbed the real gun vs the taser

they are liable, but not 100 years in prison criminally liable

I think that should be 100 years criminal. That’s making a premeditated choice to attempt to kill someone in my book

Babbitt was warned not to proceed through the window: one witness recalled that "A number of police and Secret Service were saying 'Get back! Get down! Get out of the way!'; [Babbitt] didn't heed the call."[25]

I think it’s pretty intentional to drive past a lost brake pull out and into traffic.

Give me your link to their testimony and statement to investigators because the video's show otherwise and in facts shows the police back off.

Now was she being place under arrest? Was she resisting arrest?

And due to the insane policies coming from Progressives these days, they are all the more likely to put up a "Blue Wall of Silence".
With the political climate these days, I don't blame them for that at all.

You are just making that issue worse.

When people get punished for doing something that's not wrong, or drastically over-punished for an easy-to-make mistake, and that just becomes normalized, everyone sees it as right, and it is never corrected, do you think everyone is just going to remain open and honest?

People like you cause all the problems you complain about.
