I don't know what a converted AR sounds like, I assume rate of fire would be similar to a m-16.

One would think so, but I sure dunno. Just didn't sound like a semi to me.

Nor sure that's a great analogy. Computers give access to the mighty internet. Cyber bullying is a small part of that but not a reason to ban computers.

Guns do nothing but kill people.

When someone I respect like Ben Shapiro can only use the "well they'll be useful when the government goes bad and comes for us" chestnut, I know the pro-gun arguments are on borrowed time.

I used guns after military to hunt and fill my freezer with healthier meat. So guns do something more than kill people. And, no longer being a young man, I feel secure in my home, when home invasions by criminals and drug addicts are common these days. My sign out front says, "insured by smith and wesson". Although my go to hand gun is a Colt.

Aside from the fact this statement is utter nonsense...
The right of the people to own and use firearms was protected by the constitution for a reason. Care to guess what?

America has by far the most guns per capita than any other country in the world(source http://www.smallarmssurvey.org/file...full/Small-Arms-Survey-2007-Chapter-02-EN.pdf pages 47-48). If the government does clamp down on gun ownership, all its going to do is move the market underground. I would say maintain background checks but keep them legal, keep the market on legal radars.

Might be a slide-fire or bump-fire stock, emulating a full-auto weapon. Much cheaper, and legal. Of course, it's all just speculation at this point.

    This is my theory.
The anti-gun left has no idea what any of this means, of course, and do not care to learn.

Only if you combine the truck with an explosive like 3 percenter Jerry Drake Varnell and his idol Timothy McVeigh did.

Guns are necesary, thats why police use them to respond to threats. So its ok to ban one thing but not the other? Can you tell me how a gun fires itself?

Guns do only kill people. I can't equate that with the charge of nonsense. Maybe I should qualify it with "living creatures".

I'd rather not. Bear in mind it's an amendment. Amendments can, by pure definition, be...amended. They are not remotely sacrosanct.

If it was a .50, you'd have seen holes in the ground, concrete spraying up, etc.... and there would be practically no wounded from the gunfire. The number of gunshot wounded almost guarantees a small caliber; 5.56 or 7.62.

Guns protect people....want me to remind of some of the countless cases where a firearm saved children?

Funny. My guns have never been used to do so. Have I been using them incorrectly?
    Because you fear the truth?
Because you don't want to have to face the fact people sometimes have the right to kill other people?
Because you don't want to have to admit that, to this end, our right to keep and bear arms for that purpose is directly protected by the Constitution?
The 2nd will not be, any more than the 1st.

My first thought was terrorism and I don't think that's nuts. You get conditioned to think that way after so many terrorist attacks.

It is the most likely scenario. A bump-fire stock can be bought for any AR for a couple hundred bucks, and when operated by someone who is practiced, can appear to be almost indistinguishable from a full-auto weapon.

Sure sounded full auto to me. It will be interesting to find out where he obtained this weapon

Well if the NRA had its way, he could've just went down to the local 7/11 and picked one up.

Well, an AR with a bump-fire stock would sound almost indistinguishable from a full-auto AR.

    (Bump-fire example at 1:45)
