And all those stories took place before she booked the show in the first place. Isn't that the same list from all the other threads?

Well, in the article in my OP, it was the head of the jewish "human rights organization" the Simon Wiesenthal Center who accused Lorde of "antisemitism" - an accusation that's obviously absurd.

Well, while I remember reading something recently which would lead me to believe Wiesenthal himself was more sane and mature, Israel has been working on getting everyone to say BDS in antisemetic, indeed even claiming it is terrorism. Israel has managed to get many US states to bring in laws against it which some people believe are against the constitution. Israel tried to get the UK Government to bring in laws against it but our courts ruled against this and from what has been being said here, Israel may have managed to get some other European countries to make this illegal. France has already been arresting people for BDS activity so this is a much more serious concern regarding civil rights and political freedom than some centre saying that a person is antisemetic - though in general that is what Israel or her supporters mean by antisemetic - it is any viewpoint or activity which is deemed not to be pro Israel.

Yes, and this proves that BDS is working; it's so effective that jew-controlled, anti-democratic politicians have to pass laws to make it illegal.

Here's what Israel’s minister of culture and sport, Miriam "Miri" Regev, had to say about Lorde's decision to cancel her Tel Aviv concert:
    https://www.jta.org/2017/12/25/news...ision-at-this-time-to-cancel-tel-aviv-concert

And by the way, this is the same Miri Regev who says that African refugees who come to "her" country are a cancer, and who thinks that Palestinian women and children should be shot:

Israel's minister of culture says Palestinian children should be shot

    Here's Miri with make-up/airbrush/photoshop:

And here's Miri – the way she really looks:

This is part of an excellent speech Neve Gordon gave at a FSOI meeting on " ‘Combatting Antisemitism versus Free Speech’ at the House of Commons on the 5th of December. He has been working for Palestinian Rights since the second antifada. He is discussing the 'new antisemitism'

Kinda funny how it takes a pop singer to deliver a proper kick to Israel's little, lone nut. I'm surprised anyone could even find it.

LOL 10 embassies are moving to Jerusalem, tens of thousands celebrities proudly perform every year, Israel is building new relations with countries on all continents, Europe is cracking down on boycotters, Israel's import/export is skyrocketing.... But the haters are not without successes either, a silly stupid girl intimidated and confused by a mob of idiots is not going to Israel..

Sucks to be an Israel hater if this is what passes for their grand achievement :D

    http://edition.cnn.com/2017/12/21/politics/haley-un-jerusalem/index.html

Virtually the entire world condemned Trump's disgraceful decision to recognize Jerusalem – even the eastern part which is illegally occupied by jews – as the capital of the racist, genocidal bandit state of Israel: Muslims, Middle Eastern Christian leaders, the Pope, the UN, the EU, Russia...they all voiced their strong opposition. But hey, at least you guys have Guatemala, Micronesia, Togo and a few other "big players". :applause:

I'm assuming this is some odd attempt at humor. You can't be so monomanically focused on the misdeeds of Jews (real & imagined) that you have missed the results of 'modern-day' (I'll assume this mean post-communist rather than last 5 years) Russian intervention in its 'near abroad'. Allow me to remove ignorance as a defense.

In the two Chechen wars alone somewhere between 50,000 & 250,000 civilians died or 'disappeared'. A figure of 100,000 is a reasonable assumption among the competing assessments, and a higher figure is entirely possible. That doesn't count deaths of Chechen combatants, which are probably around 20-30,000. Russia continues to occupy Chechenya & surrounding Republics, at least some of which are governed by violent & authoritarian 'mafiocracies' sponsored by Moscow.

That is just one region. It doesn't include Russian intervention in Moldva, Ukraine & Georgia, where Russia illegally occupies territory, or other conflicts in the region where Russia has intervened. Add another 10,000 bodies at a minimum there.

For comparison, the estimate of all Arabs killed by Israel in the 70 years since Israel was created is under 90,000. A substantial portion of that is Arab combatants - uniformed or otherwise. A figure for the comparable period of 'modern-day Russia' above is about 10,000 dead Arabs, not all of them Palestinian. I don't have figures on hand for a comparison of deaths caused by Russia since 1948, but lets assume its in the seven figure range, shall we?

By all means carry on with your obsessive criticism of Jews, but please don't further insult our intelligence by making claims that are so laughably wrong that only an idiot or a fanatic would believe them.

As for Lorde, personally I think it is hypocritical, but she is within her rights to perform where she wishes & for whatever reasons.

The world is a mess. What should she have to do with political policies? Nothing, that's what. Have the concert. Put down your rocks for a little while and enjoy life.

Does she have to wear a burka there?

I'm betting that if I reviewed a list of places where she has performed I would find nations with as bad or worse records on human rights. As I said, she can perform where she wants. Listening to what she said I don't think she pays all that much attention to what goes on in the world. I don't expect artists to have well informed or consistent views on the world, so I'm not much fussed.

I have very little time for Israel on the whole. Its ongoing occupation of Palestinian territory is wring & the self-righteous attitude of many of its citizens & supporters grates. Unfortunately that tends to be the case squared for Palestinians & their supporters. I have even less time for them. Watching a collection of nasty dictatorships with vile human rights records claim to care about a people they despise is pretty nauseating. Watching others who only pretend to care about human rights abuses when select groups are infringed by 'western' nations or Jews is almost as bad. These nations & people seem to suddenly lose their voice when the perpetrators or victims don't fit their hypocritically defined criteria for outrage.

Pfff Israel is the most condemned nation on the planet. So I doubt it. And a bit weird you call it hypocritical,... while you actually don't know.

It's well documented, you should certainly read up on apartheid and while you do admire the Jewish genius that turned a desert into a beautiful and more importantly jewish and democratic state with equal rights for all citizens... right in the middle of Islamic barbarism and fundamentalism.

Surely the fact that Israel is the most criticized nation on the planet should speak to the hypocrisy of most people's stance on Israel. There are SO many more nations that have done SO many more terrible things, yet Israel gets singled out. Its BS of the highest order.

The two shows preceding the planned on in Israel are in Russia, so double fail for you..

Yep. It's condemned almost daily by more than a hundred corrupt African dictatorships, Islamic theocracies, Asian tyrannies, these condemnations are all there, gathering dust in the basement of UN archives.
