It's funny that I should be Googling about this Mara Zebest claim, and should stumble across mention of myself. Small world.

Anyhow, amidst all the debate about how much of an 'expert' Mara Zebest really is, I think everyone is missing the larger and more basic question:

Did Mara Zebest ever actually say these things?

I'm not so sure that she did. And if she didn't, it makes the debate over her credentials rather moot.

The Apuzzo post that started this thread cited ObamaReleaseYourRecords, which in turn cited Globe Magazine, which in turn cited "On several sites an online treatise by Zebeth."

And said online treatise appears to have been first posted by Atlas Shrugs mere hours after the long-form was released. It was attributed only to a non-specific "Mara." No link, source, or surname was provided. No one in the comments thread seems to think that Mara is any expert of note.

So what's our source that these are actually Mara Zebest's words and opinions?

Nowhere does she claim to be an graphic expert, nor to have any national recognition.

 

She says she has 'experience' working in a graphic marketing department.

And it turns out that she isn't- at least there is no evidence to support your claim- and you don't even try to support your claim- as usual you move the goalposts- she has worked in a graphics department.

So for a person who is big on making claims that Obama lies, why do you continually misrepresent the truth?

Because I will tell you- I catch you misrepresenting the truth on a regular basis, whereas President Obama seems pretty consistantly truthful.

I'm also curious about this claim from Apuzzo's post:

17 books? I haven't seen any evidence that she's co-authored 17 books. Virtually every site that mentions her identifies only 3 books she's contributed to.

Did the "17 books" claim come from this page, which has Zebest's name at the top but instead reads "Gary David Bouton has written more than 17 books on computer graphics."

 

I note that Apuzzo after birthing this thread has run off, as this house of cards comes tumbling down.

This stinks of the typical Birther poorly executed hoax- not that I think Apuzzo was in on that- but that Birthers fall for this stuff because they never do any research beyond reading Birther blogs and nodding their heads in agreement.

 

I have a prediction.

If it turns out that Mara never made the statement, expect Birthers to claim that someone 'got' to her, and forced her to claim she never made the statement.

No proof that Mara Zebest ever wrote this, nothing....just the usual Birther throw out another 'spectacular' event and run.

 

To all the Obama supporters, answer a few questions about the long form BC:

1. How could there possibly be a misspelling in the stamp at the bottom of the document, namely, "TXE" instead of "THE"? Note: To date there is no other example of this stamp having that misspelling.

2. How could you possibly know that this document is authentic when the vast majority of the text is in digital format (AKA solid bitmap) and is clearly not a scanned copy of the original text?

3. Why is there no evidence of aging on this purported 50 year old document like all other birth certificates that are decades old?

4. According to an MSNBC report, the top Hawaiian official in charge of state health records, Fukino, claimed that Obama's long form BC was "half typed, half handwritten" and yet Obama's purported BC is all typed with the exception of the signatures and dates.
