90% approval among a tiny fraction of total Republican voters. The last two elections should have been enough to prove the general inaccuracy of polling.

But I suppose I did leave out another factor could have helped contribute to the results we saw. Democrats who voted for Biden but for Republican candidates on other tickets. It seems more likely that Republican voters would choose Biden over Trump and stay true to the Republicans in other contests than for Democrats to cross party lines on all but the presidency.

You have to remember that Republican voters are not part of a collective who all love Trump. He is a divisive man and his repugnant nature is more than enough to turn off voters who aren't hardcore partisans. Had it been one of the progressive Democratic candidates who won the nomination, things probably would have worked out differently. A vote for Biden was a lot easier than a vote for one of the more progressive people from the Democratic lot.

What the two questions have in common is a media hard selling the government story and not giving any credence to the questions raised. Nobody should take the hyperbole both sides use but all of us should hear the theories and try to sort out the truth from what is available.
