What's going on now is obviously a propaganda driven takeover of this country but by who is the only question. Obviously to anyone paying attention, the democratic party is a player and definitely involved but does it stem from them or go deeper involving other country leaders who are contributing to their campaigns?

Although the dems have been pushing division for decades, they really began to ratchett it up during the Obama administration pushing racism and hatred for cops and ICE. Currently they're brainwashing the masses with the ideology that everyone who doesn't believe as they do are racist. This is causing too many to go off the deep end and feel it's their civic duty to save the country or world. This while drugs keep pouring into the country which only exacerbates the problem even more.

So a person wrote a book. I can point at many more books that ask the same question I am asking: "Does marijuana cause people to become violent or do violent people smoke marijuana"? Read the quotes you provided with that question in mind and you will see that none of them address that question.

You also did not answer my other questions.

I'll even add another question: Many pot smokers also use other drugs. Meth, Alcohol, PCP, etc. I know Meth is drug that causes major aggressive behaviors, even if the person has not used in for awhile. Are other drug use considered?

A person wrote a book based on historical and current scientific research on violent behavior caused by the use of marijuana/THC.

THC causes some people to become violent. There is your answer.

Or could it be violent people tend to self medicate with cannabis in an attempt to control their violence and as they develop an immunity to the effects of cannabis they become more violent.

In other words the violence existed before they began consuming the drug and all it did was temporarily suppress it only to have it return resulting in a failure to control it resulting in a more violent person in the end.

    No, it wouldn't.
Not the way you are going about it.
    Nothing wrong in that.
Of course, there is. You're blaming the mentally ill on your violent crime. But it isn't your mentally ill who are committing the bulk of the crimes. The gun-advocates are telling you that only the mentally ill would commit such crimes so that the nation will continue buying guns and making them richer than they already are.

We seem to be going around in circles. Data and statistics can always be used to prove a specific point if only looked at from one point of view. Alex Berenson is not a scientist, or even a drug expert. He is a reporter and a fiction writer. Yes, I have read the book you are using as "proof". Your "answer" is based on asking the wrong question.

Exactly!!! People with social, mental, or personality disorders have used "drugs" as a coping method since man first became aware of "drugs". THAT is something that is proven. If a person is a "time-bomb", the use of drugs MAY accelerate the "explosion", but it does not necessarily cause the "explosion". It is the person's inability to cope, with or without drugs, that caused the explosion. The failure of the drug is just one more failure the person has to deal with in life. It is not necessarily the drug, but the lack of an ability to cope.

I think everything mentioned in your opening statement are accurate descriptors of our current conundrum. I'd also add the massive impact of having so many movies & weekly TV shows whose major content is unrestricted violence. There are so many peaceful & interesting themes of human life that writers could utilize in their programs, that would not only entertain, but educate & inspire viewers. As it is now, our children see a continual stream of violent behaviors, & selfish, self-serving characters. It's no wonder so many end up emulating them in real life, to the detriment of us all.

I've talked the talk and walked the walk so I know a heap of bull dung when I see it. Have you ever parachuted out of an aeroplane? No? Neither have I. So you think we should tell a paratrooper what it feels like? No? No. So don't try to tell me what it feels like to smoke "pot".

You can lead horses to water but ..... Is there anyone who seriously doubts that mental illness is a significant factor in the homicide rates around the globe ??

The question is 'does the use of THC lead to violent behavior in some people'. The answer is yes.

I'm warning you that using THC can result in violent behavior even in persons who have been using it for years.

That might be YOUR question, but it is not the question I asked. As I mentioned, you could just as easily say that masturbation leads to violent behavior in some people....using the same exact criteria used to determine that THC leads to violent behavior in some people. Since you dismiss my question without even considering it, then I can dismiss your claim that THC leads to violent behavior in some people, just as easily. For some reason, you do not even seem to want to discuss the possibility or the substance of the question I am asking.

That's the question asked and answered in the book. The title "Tell Your Children" implores parents to use the actual research about marijuana and violence to warn their kids about the potential for violent behavior just as they would about alcohol.

No it was not. I am all for parents discussing the negative effects of ALL drugs with their children....and there are certainly many of them in ALL drugs. However, neither you nor the book you are referencing has PROVEN that it is marijuana that causes violent behavior in people or if it is the violent nature of some people that causes them to use drugs like marijuana.

There is no proof that the chemical THC causes anything in the chemical functioning of the human brain. But there is overwhelming evidence that THC causes violent behavior in humans. That is discussed in detail in the book and in the references which are used to create the arguments.

Is there anyone who seriously believes the mentally ill are guilty of the bulk of violent crime in the U.S? I know that you are only feigning "scatter-brain" so to pretend you don't understand the issue. But because I know it's only a ruse don't you think you should give it up and come clean?

Well....I will try one more time.

The book uses "cause and effect":

    A. Some people become violent after using marijuana.
    B. Therefore marijuana causes some people to become violent.

That is a illogical reasoning. That is the WHOLE basis of the book. The "evidence" is not even not "overwhelming" it is nothing more than speculation based on creating a scenario and then proving that scenario based on a specific viewpoint....and the illogical reasoning. I would bet that at least 75% of inmates in prison have used or did use drugs right before they committed their crimes. That does not mean that drugs caused their life of crime....though I would agree that the drug use may have had some influence in the road they chose. i.e. drugs are expensive, therefore the need for money to purchase drugs may have influenced a person to commit a crime.

You even say yourself that there is no proof that the chemical THC causes anything in the chemical functioning of the human brain. However, there is certainly scientific material available that has studied the effects of THC on the human brain. Aggressiveness is not one of the more prominent impacts:

    http://headsup.scholastic.com/students/endocannabinoid

However, I will concede that it could cause people to make bad decisions.....or learn slower from their mistakes....or commit criminal acts out of paranoia....or even forget the recent mistakes they had made.

With Republican Senators now defying the disgraced "Fancy Pants" LaP with common sensible remarks like "The Second Amendment is not a suicide pact," the hope of the democratic will prevailing over the radical permissivists increases.

Universal background checks and "red flag" laws are in the offing.
