The only ones who suffer from TDS are the people who denigrate a man like John McCain because they have a tendency to do as Trump instructs them to do. The derangement we witness is seemingly normal adults who obey Trump as the residents of Jonestown obeyed Jim Jones.

Your post is a blatant and shameful misstatement of facts.

McCain has been a fairly reliable Republican vote since entering the Senate in 1987. From 1987 to 2015, McCain voted with the Republican Party 87 percent of the time on party-line votes

Votes in which at least half of the Republican Party voted one way and half of the Democratic Party voted the other way. Independents were excluded from this analysis.

in the average Congress. The median senator during that period voted with his or her party 91 percent of the time. So McCain’s body of work in the Senate doesn’t look very maverick-y, even if he has been slightly less likely to vote with his party than the median senator

Not many people pay attention to these things. More paid attention to Bill Clinton, the draft evader that will this. Yet it meant nothing when it came time to vote. Bill Clinton won easily. The era when things like this matter is long past. It ended with Bill Clinton. Today, both parties want to use this as political propaganda to denigrate whomever of the opposite party. Today's politics is that of personal destruction, not of substance, ideas, solutions or visions for the future. Both major parties practice the politics of getting the electorate to hate the other guy more than they hate you in their search for votes.

Then everyone wonders why we as a nation is so divided. It's simple, those running for office and leading this country divide us, turn us against one another in the hopes we vote against the other guy, not necessarily for you.

We should be debating the tax cuts, whether to repeal Obamacare, whether the actions to defeat terrorism is working and if it is keeping this country safe. Instead we concentrate on personal attacks and destruction. Just my two cents.

    Negative

McCain will be remembered for fight and defending this country. He will be remembered for sticking to his principals. Not just following a party line even though they all know it’s reckless.

I am honored to have voted for the man even if we failed.

Trump prefers divisiveness, rancor, and chaos because the turmoil diverts attention from Trump's incompetence.

I wonder where have you lived all those years. Under a rock? He denigrated himself. It's not me denigrating him, it's Vietnam vets who were also captured and know more than you or me will ever know. Furthermore McCain is most likely responsible for more American deaths than any other living U.S politician. Any war anywhere in the world, he was more than happy to send American soldiers to bleed for nothing. To bleed for his corporate and globalist sponsors. I have zero respect for a man who hugs and shakes hands with a Al-Qaeda/ISIL terorists, the very same people who were resposnible for deaths of thousands of U.S soldiers all over the globe. That's your McCain. He should be prosecuted for aiding and enabling Sunni radical terrorists cells across the world.

I've lived in NH for the last almost 20 years, and before that all over the country and the world.

You hate Republicans, I know. Any chance to attack a POW is also a bonus, because Trump doesn't like them either.

Do you understand what Howard Sterns show is all about? Why would you take anything serious that is said on it is beyond me.

It would be like watching a Sam Kinison skit and then complain about the yelling.

Let's hear from the man himself. I wonder why this tape was mislabelled for ages. It's obvious that the Vietnamese treated him well as he fully recovered from badly broken leg and arm. Many U.S vets weren't so lucky. They ended up being caged.

John McCain – 1969 Tokyo Rose Vietnam Confession
    http://investmentwatchblog.com/john-mccain-1969-tokyo-rose-vietnam-confession/

    Transcript:
To the Vietnamese people and the Government of the DRVN I’m John Sydney McCain 624787, Lieutenant Commander US Navy. Born 29 August 1936 Panama, home state (unaudible) Shot down 26 October 1967 A4 Aircraft. I as a US Airman am Guilty of Crimes against the Vietnamese country and people. I have bombed their cities, towns and villages and caused many injuries, even death to the people of Vietnam.

I was captured in the Capitol of Hanoi while attacking it. After I was captured I was (inaudible) for the hospital in Hanoi where I received very good medical treatement. I was given an operation on my leg which allowed me to walk again and a cast on my right arm which was badly broken in three places. The doctors were very good and they knew a great deal about the practice of medicine. I remained in the hospital for sometime and regained much of my health and strength.

Since I arrived in the camp of detention, I have received humane and (inaudible) treatment. I received this good treament and food, even though I came here as an aggressor and the people who I injured have much difficulty in their living standards. I wish to express my deep gratitude for my kind treatment and I will never forget this kindness extended to me.
