One has to, first, recognize there is a problem in order to fix it. It is impossible to recognize there is a problem if one is preoccupied with the perception of being 'the best'.

When U.S. patients are more inclined to question costs and prices, then these price increases will begin to fall. It is the supply of services that hasn't caught up with greater demand.

Public healthcare, doesn't curb rising costs AT ALL. The greater demand for services will cause lower quality care, longer wait times, and rising costs. Pointing to other countries is an entirely different situation.

Most of the healthcare dollar goes to seniors and preemies...60 percent... And docs would prefer to treat a brush fire than a conflagration.

That’s easier said than done in some cases. My problem with healthcare is it’s in between free market and government run and the healthcare would be better if they’d just pick a side and not waver.

What you said about seniors and preemies only relates to healthcare INSURANCE, not the fact that the supply of services hasn't caught up to the greater demand for services.

Healthcare is straddled with state and federal rules and regulations that inhibit free competition and entry to the medical industry. That's typical for government, to create the problem and then pass more laws to fix what they broke in the first place.

It’s all about motivation, our healthcare industry is the best at making money.

Cost shifting is what drives higher premiums and deductibles. Insurance companies and administrative paperwork do not contribute to patient care. You'd save 30 percent instantly.

No, you just shift those costs over to government employees and administration of healthcare.

What drives COSTS HIGHER is GREATER DEMAND while supply of services remains the same!

I agree state and federal regulations plus subsidized health care all create artificial raises in healthcare costs and that’s bad with those factors Americans will never get good healthcare. So as I see it there is two ways to handle it either completely remove government or completely remove private healthcare. The problem with completely removing government is we need someone checking our medicines because bad medicine could cause dire effects. If one could make the case that all government involvement is redundant I’d be willing to listen to the argument

Why do you think we have over 50,000 doctors from India? Medical education is horribly over priced in the US and malpractice insurance is a racket. Only SC has smart and reasonable medical malpractice insurance.

ALL education is "horribly overpriced" because the federal government CREATED GREATER DEMAND for a college education with easy STUDENT LOANS!

That was a three part question.
Could you provide some information that shows in what ways their health care is superior, what their better outcomes are?

Yet it doesn't. Our care is superior to yours in the US, and all free.

And of course there will be waits .. but only for non-urgent (non life threatening) conditions. Urgent conditions mean zero wait.

There's no such thing as "free." It might be "free" to you, but someone has to pay for it. This reminds me of the old days of the internet when everything was free. It wasn't, someone paid for it.

Figure of speech. We pay a small tax levy yearly. No pain is felt upon accessing medical services.

Maybe Progressives in America, who think it will be magically free? Or that AOC's 'billionaires' will pay for it?

All the U.S. billionaires COMBINED couldn't take on the U.S. debt at this time, much less along with "free" healthcare.

And why should I look forward to waits for my non-urgent conditions? I don't have to do that now. I guess this plan that people keep telling me will be better for will really only be better for some.
    Define "small tax levy".
