Republican's contrived outrage only works for people who have short memories.....and short attention spans.

Can you explain Democrat's lack of outrage for events in the here and now, or does it not apply to Democratic Presidents, Congress members and administrations?

The Democrats might well have wanted to generate this much political theater in 1983 after the Beirut bombing. But attention was deflected away from congressional hearings on Beirut when Reagan invaded Grenada.

President Obama is set to endorse Cory Booker to be his successor. No one can win (not even Hillary) without Mr.Obama's blessings.

    From Wiki:

Cory Anthony Booker (born April 27, 1969) is an American politician and the junior United States Senator from New Jersey. At the time of his election to the Senate, he was the Mayor of Newark. Booker was born in Washington, D.C. and then raised in Harrington Park, New Jersey. He attended Stanford University, where he played college football and received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Arts in sociology, before earning a Rhodes Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford. Upon returning home, he received his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.

Booker began his political career as a Newark City Councilor from 1998 to 2002. He ran for Mayor in 2002, but lost to incumbent Sharpe James; he ran again in 2006 and won against deputy mayor Ronald Rice. During his tenure as Mayor, his priorities were reducing crime and encouraging economic development projects. He gained a national reputation for his personal involvement in public service, particularly through his use of social media tools such as Twitter to connect with constituents.

Considered one of the most prominent Democrats in New Jersey, he became a candidate for the United States Senate in the 2013 special election to succeed Frank Lautenberg, who died in office. He won the Senate Democratic primary on August 13, 2013 and then won the general election against Steve Lonegan on October 16, 2013, becoming the first African-American U.S. Senator from New Jersey.

Is it 1983? Perhaps you didn't understand my question?

I've never seen anyone with that kind of ambition not take it as far as they possibly can. My guess is that she'd rather stay home and bake cookies, but her legacy won't let her. She'll be there.

Benghazi is, and will be, a non-issue. What will be an issue is her gender and the fact that the right wing is opposed to her gender.

Just trying to provide some context so you can understand why I don't take Republican's supposed outrage seriously.

And many closed door sessions have taken place without satisfaction. What does that tell you? The would be most transparent president prefers closed door discussions. What does that tell you?

Some Conservatives were toddlers or not even born at that time. It has little to do with anything in the here and now.

Just like Sarah Palin's or Michelle Bachman's gender was a problem for Conservatives, right? Try harder.

Such foolish statements is why the Democrats might lose.

There is a foolish statement re: women coming from a high-placed righty virtually every day, Cuchinelli being a case in point.

Yes, demonized by the Left and Democrats... the supposed "womens rights" party.

Meanwhile, they're both leading the charge for the Tea Party and Conservatives, who continuously back them.

    - - - Updated - - -

That right? Which "foolish statement" was that?

I see you don't get sarcasm in the Progressive States of Amerika. Tune into 1776 or 1787 for clear reception.

Ahhh, yes, but totally unsupported by the right. What happened to their candidacies, my friend?

You missed the connection. It happens.

Totally unsupported by the right or by the establishment GOP?

Well, Hillary isn't my first choice, but if she does win the Democratic nomination, she'll have to face a Republican in the General Election.
This would pit the most respected politician in the US, against a person who has to run a gauntlet of the least educated and most delusional voters in the country.
And to win this clown show, one has to publicly reject science, accept the supernatural, publicly adopt misogynistic policies, and deny reality.
And then the winner of that gets to run against the most respected politician in America.
    That's Hillary's edge.

What happened to Hillary's in 2008? They lost to candidates of proven capabilities and experience. She lost to a relatively unknown freshman Senator who won on a special election with no experience or proven capabilities in fact a quite lackluster record.

    Who's your first choice?

Where is this great respect and what for other than she is a woman who rode the coattails of a husband who had zilch respect for her and in fact made the fool of her?

Ahh she is going to win because you can issue insults on the other side....gotcha.

So you once again prove a point I make often. You can't give a reason to FOR her for President, just that the other side has no one better. I doubt that is going to win an election.

    Elizabeth Warren
You wouldn't understand, they ask Americans which politician they respect the most, and her name comes up most, it's called a poll.
No, she would win because the other side will field a candidate who isn't very good.

I did explain my reasons, but for like the tenth time in a row they went over your head.

Because on every issue, she has the better position, on the economy, on health care, on women's rights, on taxes, on spending, on military matters, on every issue she would have a superior position than who ever the GOP decides to run.(I'm basing that on the people who have gotten the GOP nomination over the past 50 years.)
