Ahhh, the last decade where left and right actually worked together on real problems. We never saw those democrats pushing for open borders just to defy their political opponents. There's a reason the 90's are called the last great decade.

This is unfortunately true but it doesn't give the OPs assertion any validity. It has none. It's too far right and outside the realm of this reality. It furthermore just gives leftists something to legetimately argue and if not win at least not lose the discussion. Polarized views just point fingers and moderates just think both sides are silly. Mexico is a garbage country atm, it's government and infrastructure are beyond corrupt. It's media is afraid and die at the hands of the same people who bribe officials. The cartels. It's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome down there and it's even worse south of Mexico. No moderate believes in unfettered immigration and think leftists are stupid for promoting it. Moderates want the border secured even if it means a wall but we also want reformed immigration policies. We want a working immigration policy. The sooner leftists stop blocking real reform the sooner we can legally bring in new folks

 

I don't care about the why's and the wherefore's, that's Mexico's problem. I just want to keep their rotten, violent culture out.

We got to deal with that here. They got to deal with all their problems. Mexico is a sovereign nation responsible for their people, and the USA has no responsibility for Mexicans.

 

No what we are saying is Mexico is, and has been the most violent country on earth in recent years 2nd only to Syria and leftists need to stop being idiots and find something else to lose elections on. Running around supporting full blown open borders is insane. This source is is indisputable and this year is on pace to be the worst ever. The problem for leftism is Mexicos disgusting murder rate isn't helped by anything leftists support and go on about. Super strict gun laws? Mexico makes it nearly impossible for average citizens to own a weapon.... So leftists lose on two of their major platforms with our Southern neighbors problems. Immigration and gun control.

Maybe, we are after all their cartels largest market but what can our leaders do that's rational? We can't legalize hard drugs. No one supports that. Independents, moderates on rightward. Mexico currently is at war with itself literally. Trump and previous Presidents have stated the truth. If Mexico wanted to stop the cartels it could. If it wanted to greatly slow illegal immigration it could. If it wanted to stem the violence it could. But it hasn't due to fear. Their elites are hidden away protected by their wealth and their politicians talk the talk but when the lights go out at night and they are alone they are afraid to act. Sheer fear. What they need is a Duterte.

25% of the murders in this country are committed by illegal immigrants -- even though they only make up a tiny fraction of the country -- but even tho they make up a tiny fraction, we are still being invaded and infested, even tho those two things together don't make sense, forget all of that, Mexicans are just bad hombres

65% of all of the murders are committed by the other bad hombres, the blacks -- if we can get these elements out of our country, murders will be reduced by 90%
