I agree they should do that. The problem is far too many don't. If you told students that the job market for Art History was virtually non existent, how many would choose that as their major? I'm guessing not enough to make it worthwhile to keep the department funded.

 

Unless they are going to work in the art auction business I don't see what else the degree might be used for, unless possibly if they want to teach art in schools using that as a platform to obtain their Masters degree.
