Ohio bill orders doctors to ‘reimplant ectopic pregnancy’ or face 'abortion murder' charges

Not talking about ectopic pregnancies I'm talking about late term pregnancies.

Late term abortion generally happen to save the mother and around 1.3 percent from what I've read are in the third trimester as long as the numbers were right and I recalled them correctly. My only point is that third trimester abortions are not legal everywhere which will in fact cause some pregnancies to be carried to full term. A mother has up until the day she gives birth to decide if she wants a baby and if she decided the day before birth in most places she will be required to birth and unwanted baby into this world.

If there is a fetal abnormality or her health and/or life is in danger she is allowed to have an abortion AT ANY STAGE of the pregnancy!

The article is about a bill to reimplant an ectopic pregnancy... which is patently insane. .. An ectopic pregnancy would likely kill the mother by the 3rd or 4th month.

Do you think any of these fools has talked to OB/GYN docs about this?

Which would be a terrible thi g to have happen. I dont support or condone this bill in anyway shape or form. The fact that the bill was 700 some odd pages is enough to warrant its dismissal I'm my opinion let alone its content. I want to make as clear as possible I dont support the death of expecting mothers in any way shape or form.

 

Many tests for birth defects can be done by the middle of the 4th month, but there are things that can go terribly wrong and threaten the life of the mother in the last trimester.

Of course these days very early births like at 28 weeks gestation do survive. We call them million dollar babies.

We should have an Ob doc on the board. I am not comfortable with this at all..

 

700 pages? Absolutely throw it out. This is some sort of religious crusade having NOTHING to do with the health and wellbeing of mothers and babies … or even the practice of medicine.

Sex is the number one cause for pregnancy. Like driving a car you dont sign a contract saying you allow a car crash but simply driving your car you understand the possibility that a car crash can happen. Same goes for sex. If you have sex especially unprotected sex you understand (99% of the time 18+ indivuduals) that pregnancy is a possibility and having sex you agree to those terms.

 

Ohio earlier this year passed into law a bill that would abolish abortions after a heartbeat begins. That's three weeks after fertilization, ie before most women even know they are pregnant. The law was blocked in the courts. So don't put it past them to pass this one, it already has 19 (out of 99) co-sponsors.

This law includes the death penalty for some abortions, life jail terms for many abortions even by young girls of 13 and of course the doctors and defines life as the moment an egg is fertilized.

Sure, the courts would strike it down now but what if it makes it to the supreme court and the court decides it's a state issue effectively overturning R v Wade?

Even the silly bit about re-implanting the embryo would cause the doctor to have to try turning a relatively safe and simple procedure into a very complicated one that doesn't work.
