After our own school massacre here, there was a responding gun ban.
They sent a single unarmed policeman to my house to collect one of mine.

Since that day not a single Jew has been thrown into an oven. Not one.
There have been no more school shootings either.

Cranky who did the shooting? He wasn't a Nazi. He wasn't a Muslim. He wasn't even a student.
    He was a gun nut.

So it was a willful surrender to your Government? Because other folks know better what's best for you?

There is no such right. Fear is an emotion, and is usually irrational. There is no such thing as freedom from an emotion. You have no moreo of a right to freedom from fear as you do freedom from love or heartbreak.

Do your fellow citisens have the right to change the laws of their society and have you respect them?
To choose their own rights democratically?

Or are you going to go gun crazy if they do?

We're all gun nuts. We all love guns. We own them and like it.
This is the one thing all those mass murdering crazies have in common. They are gun nuts too.

Are you suggesting I should have shot the policeman?

That my gun, which served no deeper practical purpose than my own entertainment, was worth more than his life?

If so I am suggesting that you are disarmed. A dangerous person to society. A would be criminal and murderer. Certainly not someone to be trusted with weapons of any variety at all.
Placed on an FBI watch list. You get the idea.
Your government needs to come get you.

Democracy fails when it infringes upon the rights of the governed, otherwise it is just rule by mob.

And no, I do not believe in Democracy. It always de-evolves into rule by the mob.

Of course it doesn't, because that's an unalienable right. It does, however, codify that right.

Actually the distinction between the US military and the militia is made quite explicit in the relevant constitutional provisions.

You presume it means that, to the exclusion of Americans as individuals, with no basis in fact.

No it does not. Read the amendment again.

So you'd have us believe the amendment was adopted to protect the right of the US military to keep and bear arms. Just who, pray tell, would be in any position to infringe on that right, especially if the general populace were unarmed?

    No it was not.

Lady, they had already fought and won the Revolutionary War. Why the hell would they need an amendment to tell the world they intended to keep what they had won?

I never suggested that, it's a product of a pie in the sky mentality.

Go ask a pensioner that survived WWII if he would have willingly given up his rifle after the Germans rained bombs down on London. How quickly we forget.

Some folks can't be trusted with weapons of any kind, glad you gave yours up willingly.

While I'm sure that there exceptions, it seems like the advent of "first person shooter games" roughly coincided with this relatively recent phenomenon of mass school killings.
I've never understood the appeal of killing large numbers of people via a video game & feel like it is bound to desensitize obsessive players to the point that already disturbed individuals can barely distinguish between virtual killing and the real thing.(1)
I can think of no constructive purpose that violent video games serve except perhaps some role in military training but any attempt to ban them is as likely to fail as banning firearms.
Firearm ownership, on the other hand is protected by the 2nd Amendment.

On the subject of removing a psychiatrist's ability to prescribe psychotropic drugs without the OK of a "real" physician, I must differ as a psychiatrist IS a real physician whose specialization has to do with the knowledge of psychotropic drugs.
Irresponsible prescribing of ALL types of medications is a problem endemic to the entire profession & hindering all psychiatrists for the irresponsible acts of a few is not a viable solution

    (1) "Top 10 Violent Crimes Tied To Video Games"
    http://listverse.com/2017/10/28/top-10-violent-crimes-tied-to-video-games/
EXCERPT "With that being said, video games have a long and disturbing history of being tied to violent criminals and have even been touted as the direct inspirations for some of the most heinous crimes that the world has ever seen. These are some of the most infamous crimes tied to video games."CONTINUED

    • Flamebaiting (Rule 2/3)
    <Rule 2/3>

If you obey the law, your guns are safe, <Rule 2/3>

We are talking about to deny firearms to the crazies.

Give us some ideas other than "suck it up," because the millennials within a decade will amend the Constitution, otherwise.

Your argument is falling apart. White American males massacring school children ARE International terrorists.

    Ok then. Semantics it is.
So all these killers, they were "gun enthusiasts" too.

How can I tell if you are a crazy or not?
If you don't shoot someone you aren't. So to test, simply sell you as many guns as you like and wait.

Hmm. I predict problems with this one.

Nah, but your lineage might have been wise to have rode the boat over to freedom of oppression ;) Of course you might have had to "Shew" some of the oppressive Brits back to jolly Old England!

Why not stop worrying about law abiding owners and take you bad selves into the "REAL "mass murderers". You lefties got all the talk but you never gonna walk the walk where it really matters :)

You peeps haven't the fortitude to address real problems with mass shootings if it concerns or threatens your base :) Come on! I promise you, there will be an absolute plethora of illegal firearms and illegal owner!

Come on Leftist crusaders, stop yapping and MAKE A difference in America!

OH BTW, did you just personally insult me by calling me a nut?

Yeah we need federal gun control. Indiana is 20 minutes away from Chicago. You can get whatever you want there
