    The 5th amendment?

What crime, in a view of the facts most damaging to Schiff, do you think has taken place?

Do you endorse the theory that people with first hand knowledge of Trump's arguably impeachable behavior should testify?

    Impeach him already..............

If Biden did what he bragged about doing, that would constitute an abuse of office as the Vice President. Being a rival candidate doesn't make any abuses and law breaking by him while VP above the law. Trump asked Zelenskyy to coordinate with the US Attorney General, NOT his campaign. If he didn't then there may be a case for political gain. But we won't know unless the Senate investigates during Trumps trial in the Senate. Testimony from the Biden's, Chris Heinz and Devon Archer as well as depositions by Zelensky and Shokin will be key to determining whether Trump was legitimately going after corruption or seeking to damage a political rival.

Would it not be a crime to refuse to appear before Congress if required to do so by the power of a subpoena? Wouldn't he (or his lawyer) have to at least appear and say something like, "I'm here, but I refuse to answer any of your questions or participate in any way"...? Wouldn't it at least bring charges involving Contempt of Congress if Schiff just 'blew it off'...?

Maybe not. As we saw in the scandal involving Hillary Clinton's unsecured server which was illegally used for classified information, big-wig Democrats couldn't care less about something as trivial as "Contempt of Congress".... Or, again referring to the same Clinton scandal, they just "take the Fifth". To them, it's all just as easy and inconsequential as wiping snot off your finger.

    No kidding.

Hard to imagine why anyone would think that their testimony would be "relevant".

Must be a Tinfoil Hat thing?

Yes, you are right... I hadn't heard the news. Whatever....

As for the big impeachment 'hooptie', I guess we've been expecting it for one reason or other since Democrats took over the House of Representatives. At this point, there's no doubt whatever that Democrats will vote to impeach, and, then when this thing finally drags itself along to the Senate, it will end up being 'dead-on-arrival'.

Hey, the United States of America didn't have anything else of any importance to do, so, let's all just stay embroiled in this drama until it's finally over with....

[IMG] "Take all the time you like. We can get along fine without you...."

Of course they won't, the articles will never make it out of the House. At some point Nancy will throw Schiff and Nadler under the bus.

...and I'm not pulling this out of thin air.. Robert Ray Concurs. I think his opinion is worth more than yours or mine.

Oh, I don't dispute that a motion to dismiss is something that could happen. But it won't. Just saying.

What goes around comes around. When this BS hit job gets to the Senate, no matter how much crying Chuck complains, at least one senator will bring a motion to dismiss. Nothing may come of it but I wouldn't bet against it. Either way Justice will be swift. The trial will be very short. Trump will win in January and again in November.
