I'm not being manipulated. It's naive to think Trump's numbers and messages weren't vetted before his speech was written. Trump is very aware that if he goes on television and says the suit he's wearing is onyx black, there will be a gaggle of "fact checkers" hard at work so they can tell people - like you - that his suit isn't onyx black like he said, it's instead jet black. Y'all would immediately take to social media, at that point, to tell us "Trump lies again" and call him too stupid to know the difference between onyx black and jet black.

You don't notice those things because you agree with the message. I'd bet the 2020 election that you've never given any thought to the fact that it might be you who is being easily manipulated.

Lets be serious here. Trump has been insulting random anybody's (including those within his own party) since the day he announced his run for potus, and before as well. Wether it be just random insults or name calling, etc, he's most definitely been an instigator and willing to trade jabs for the longest time. The dude's got my vote (for now) but it certainly isn't because of his warm & fuzzy demeanor, lets be real, his policies are great IMO, but his personality is atrocious and he's handled the office pretty much as un-presidential as it could possibly be handled.

Yes, quite honestly, you just simply can't look what has transpired in the back & forth between those two individuals, the two parties in general and say that it doesn't take two to tango.

Anyway, that's my 2c, in the grand scheme of things this is nothing special, just another jab, and for some reason people are forgetting all that has happened in the recent past.

Really silly analogy, my friend... For the most part, the media points out valid Trump errors and faults.

Trump entered the office with little credibility, and while it's hard to pinpoint the day where he completely lost the rest of it (really hard with the volume of opportunities), I think SharpieGate might have been the straw for many..

The "Medicare for All" program that many Democrats in Congress support is meant to cover undocumented people. But it is a gross exaggeration to suggest this expense would "bankrupt" the United States, especially since Medicare for All’s overall price-tag looks fairly similar to what we currently spend on health care. (It changes who pays.)

That was a pathetic move. It speaks volumes that some people actually celebrate her actions. It's that "we can bully and push you around, but the second you push back, all bets are off and we're coming for your career" attitude that America has come to hate.
