    Taxcutter says:
I agree. But nobody else in Europe has the economy to fight Putin.

With the US gone isolationist and Germany unmotivated, what's to stop Putin - beyond Russian laziness?

Taking Prussia and Silesia would make Putin the greatest of the tsars.

In the latest news, some armored units sent by Kiev to subdue pro Russians defected. As I expected, Maidan men do not have the army willing to fight. Ukrainain people are the same as Russian people. Whatever NAT and Maida are doing plays in hands of Russian government and Putin. This is because Putin's mission is serving local people, Maidans are foreigners in Ukraine and NATO posturing repels Ukrainian people even more. Leave alone homosexuality, which is far from traditional culture in Ukraine and in Russia as well. This is all foreign and it is despised by the public.

The difficulty is how to make it reasonably justifiable.

Russians are taught in schools, just like Americans: "This nation is here to stay forever..." Putin has tremendous support inside Russia and even inside Ukraine, as you can see. EU made a poor investment, supporting the Maidans. From start they have been involved with dubious allies (ne Nazi). They were well prepared technically how to take down Yanukovich and they did so. However, they were poorly prepared how to proceed, procrastinated and did not take a proper care to make life of their subjects more comfortable. Putin is going to win and Russia will come out of this mess stronger then before.

That is gayful thinking. You're pulling the Western world down with you. The economic nuclear bomb is getting off the petro dollars, and Putin might do that next week.

Our Russian capitalism has absorbed the most worst thing of worldwide capitalism. This is Corruption and cynicism. However in our Russian history was very bright moment. This moment is called the USSR, the Soviet Union was the best and the Progressive era in the history of Russia. A lot of people in Russia and ex Soviet republics remember about it .

According to the Ukrainians, the ones who took back the airport were not Ukrainian troops. They were Blackwater/Greystone American mercenaries together with fanatical 'nationalist' guards from the alien Western part of Ukraine. Those guards were formed two months ago because the junta distrusted the loyalty of the Ukrainian army.

American high position CIA analysts and Republican party retired statesmen think otherwise. They may not like Putin, but they agree on one thing, Putin is doing very well. If he is doing well, so does Russia. Last MNSBC news: Putin is winning in Ukraine. It does not take much talent of Putin, he is working in line with whishes of people in Ukraine and Russia. Any leader can get envious.

This is the worst what could be done by NATO, obviously a mistake, because this will become known to both Ukrainians and Russians and this will mobilize and unite people against foreign intruders. The end of Maidan is near, they have to pack up their things.

Ronstar, this is exactly where you are wrong. Majority of Ukrainians wants to be rather a part of Russia then to be ruled by Maidans. As I wrote earlier, Maidan boys were very poor investment made by EU. They are foreigners in Ukraine and they are not well educated, just wrong people, who are not up to the task. Watch this from most recent MSNBC News:
Ukraine Invasion Unlikely as Russia Achieves Goals:
Russia has staged tanks, fighter jets and an estimated 40,000 troops on its border with Ukraine. But don’t expect them to charge across and start a conventional war — Russia is already achieving what it wants by causing chaos.

That’s the read from a retired Army general.

Why Putin turned out so skillful and super smart? Very simple, he is on the mission and what he does is in line with wishes of local people in Ukraine and in Russia. I wish our leaders would act in line with wishes of American people. Putin is one lucky leader, because he got a historic mission of reunification of people of Ukraine and Russia.

“I think Putin’s smarter than to have an invasion,” Gen. Montgomery Meigs told NBC News, referring to Vladimir Putin, the Russian president. “He has the whip hand with all his special-ops guys running around firing up the Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine.”
