Bigotry singles out a specific race or religion.

I hate all religions equally. So, not the same.

I am a simple man. I feed the babies the formula that they will take, when they need it with the product I have on hand, to provide it. I do not take it away from some malnourished babies, so I can ship it over the next couple of days to a baby who is also malnourished somewhere else. That does not seem consistent with saving babies. If the baby is there, and the formula is there, mix it with water and hand over the ****ing bottle!

    The rest is lunacy.

You surely don't think people wouldn't have noticed the shortage unless Fox told them, do you?

The only people responsible for panic buying ('hoarding' is not at all the same thing), are those who've failed to educate the masses on the importance of self-reliance.

One of the strangest opinions I have ever read.

I like your system better. Force asylum seekers onto island detention camps or camps in other countries like New Zealand. Camps where suicide rates have been so high workers carry knives to cut down hanging victims or those in the process.

I like how you keep them locked up even when New Zealand offers to settle the asylum seekers you say will never be allowed into Australia.

I also like how when you can’t afford benefits for citizens and natives you cut benefits to migrants that are allowed into Australia. Making them wait 4 years to be eligible for help even after being granted residency.

    https://amp.theguardian.com/austral...ost-cutting-christmas-island-detention-centre

The savings from cutting benefits are to be spent hardening the Christmas Island detention center against riots and expanding detention centers so more illegal immigrants can be removed from Australia and detained indefinitely.

The Christmas Island detention center was supposed to be closed back in 2018 after international outrage over human rights abuse there. But it’s “needed” to keep Australia free of illegal immigrants so it remains open and is expanding and being hardened to prevent future violence that has plaques it. Many asylum seekers spend years in Australian offshore detention camps.

Here’s a heartwarming piece from the Guardian and some pull quotes about Christmas Island and Nauru.

    https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2...d-on-christmas-island-told-lower-expectations

This is the tip of the iceberg I thought I’d share to put your comments in proper context.

Well allow me to help with the logic of it if you don't understand it.

If country "A" is a vast mix of all races and cultures on the Earth and country "B" is very homogeneous in terms of race and culture......which country could more be described as "racist"?

I don’t know. I’ve never been there so the sample size is too small for me to come to a solid conclusion based on just the few PF members I know. I know one Australian here who’s brilliant….

We're definitely tough .. but then we don't have an illegal problem here either. Consequently we don't have to use other languages on signs or in public situations. We're not likely to encounter people who can't speak English. Migrants can't access welfare for years. Everyone who comes here can support themselves. Etc etc.

If our brutal methods stop people from trying to sneak in, that's a good thing. For those who might otherwise take huge risks on leaky boats, in particular.

Yep your methods are effective. Less brutal than many other countries to be fair.

But I don’t think your compatriots have a leg to stand on calling US policy inhumane. Diverting baby formula from the border to domestic markets seems mild to me compared to taking kids’ glasses and medications and indefinitely putting them in camps where their parents hang themselves.

Typical demonizing tactic for those lacking basic knowledge of logic. It takes profound levels of ignorance to believe that this equals suggesting that babies starve to death. Republicans are more generous than Dems when it comes to feeding the poor and helping the less fortunate. (On average)
