I am more concerned that a company making baby formula would need even that long to clean up its act. How filthy was this establishment?

No it has only recently become a concern due to supply chain issues. This is down to companies. Why is no one actually putting the blame on the people truly responsible? Good grief - you just had to close a baby formula manufacturer because the product was so contaminated 4 babies got sick and two died but somehow that is Biden’s fault. If any of you had listened to the video from Chris Hayes I linked to earlier you would have found the essential issue is that this is and was an oligopoly that has been paying to remain one for years. Find out who they have been handing the political donations to and start kicking some serious political arse

If this we’re not so America would not have one of the highest if not the highest infant mortality rates in the developed nations

It might be harder to convince even hard-up parents that Abbott product manufactured in that plant is OK going forward... I bet many will start checking where their baby formula is coming from now...

 

Personally, I would deny it to the states that will insist on more babies being born instead of allowing natural population control...

Who would you deny it to? Or to be more specific, who should american taxpayers pay to feed, american babies or illegal immigrant babies? (since your question implies someone isn't getting fed)

Personally I would do what the government is actually doing ~ looking to bolster the current market with imports and then looking at the whole oligopoly arrangement, which if any of you “eeek! The MSM is going to rot my brain” crew had bothered to watch the video from Chris Hayes his guest lays out the REAL issue with the oligopoly of baby formulas that are bolstered by government subsidies that only specify one brand - what the??? The way it is laid out reeks of government corruption and THERE is the real issue - not immigrants but rot from within.

Do you realise there has been more outrage on this thread about giving formula to babies that need it than the fact that an American company caused serious illness in four babies two of whom died! The factory was found to have caused those deaths back in Feb but where was the outrage. You know while they have Americans attacking Americans they can grift to thier heats delight

So, in summary, I would be going after the CEO of Abbott sticking my boot so far up his/her bum it would tickle his/her tonsils and demand HE/SHE fixed the problem THEY caused by letting the factory become filthy and go and start sourcing new safe formula from elsewhere

But what is also clear is that, in both scenarios, someone isn't getting the formula they need.
