Dude, you're calling the US military and our civilian intelligence agencies traitors....or are you just calling them stupid?

If all that were true, why isn't Trump doing something about it now? Why aren't our political and military leaders revealing the truth?

You're free to call Trump a "big liberal globalist", but I think several on this forum will disagree with you.

Because Clean Break Strategy was convincing to people who were ignorant about the ME and the oil business.

This invitation business is one the stupidest lines I've ever heard... did a man in a Gorilla suit show up on Putin's doorstep and started singing.... Putin's interest in Syria has nothing to do with Assad and everything to do with team Russia/Iran and their target the United States of America. America needs to remain in Syria because the battle has only begun.

This happened during the obama, clinton, Kerry regime. Trump campaigned on pulling out but he has no intention

Yes D it's dirty and no.... for those being used it's more harmful than good, unfortunately the Kurds are out of options.
Organisations likes Hezbollah have perfected the art of "using people" to obtain their objectives and they are ruthless and patient. If America does not get it's hands dirty it will lose not today... not tomorrow... but 50 - 100 years down the road despite it's massive military and advanced weapons, because Hezbollah does not play "that" game... will America turn it's military onto itself... the danger is from within, and to deal with this you need to use people.

Western powers once had two options....step into a quagmire in hopes of saving a few more than would die or staying away and hoping these people would figure it out for themselves. These option went away when they decided to take their brutality to the west and it is now an infection that threatens the health of democracies and freedom. We can now only hope for a vaccine or go into Chemo....neither is a good option.

Islam has poisoned itself and does not even know it, the rest of the world is coughing at the stench.

The Arabs, oil men, historians, diplomats, Europeans and military brass tried to talk Bush/Cheney out of invading Iraq, but they were like you.. They thought they were experts on the ME.

You just don't understand what you are talking about.
Besides, you simply don't have any right to judge who is Putin for Russians.

I figure also that they will be used one way or another, either with us benefiting at their expense or not. If we weren't, at least we could say we weren't and condemn those who are. As it is, it's kind of hard to argue with Russia's talk of our being there illegally, &c. It's hard to have any moral high ground while picking a faction (Sauds) and attempting to topple a government. Daesh seems to be our only legitimate excuse to be in there and now it's apparently, supposedly, beaten. What do we rally around? What are we fighting for now? Is it justifiable? I guess helping Iraq and the Kurds is about as noble an excuse as any, but we could also be 1) contributing to further violence and disorder better avoided for the good of the region, and 2) fighting a losing battle regardless, as our position remains tenuous and of questionable justification. Are we to support Kurd separatists, for instance, even as we condemn Russia's support for Ukrainian separatists? I just don't like any of it.

Ah... America's Achilles heel... the high moral ground. What you are fighting for is America's survival as a sovereign nation... sounds ridiculous... doesn't it... the all powerful America not being a sovereign nation..... well consider
    Lebanon.... now under Hezbollah's control
Yemen.... (majority Sunni nation).... now under Hezbollah's control
Venezuela.... not even a majority muslim nation... now highly likely also under Hezbollah's control

then research (because I'm not going to sit here and outline it - sorry) Iran's fast growing influence in South America... countries with previously insignificant numbers of muslim influence with now surprisingly large numbers of Hezbollah influence & support.
Also consider the number of gangs within America that import drugs from these Hezbollah affiliated drug suppliers... your refugee problem
Consider how many people America have locked up in prisons
Consider the large gap between rich and poor... one of America's many vulnerabilities

America needs to stop trying to save the world and focus on saving itself, not by isolating itself but by going on the offensive...America needs it's own Hezbollah

ps. btw I believe the reason Putin invaded eastern Ukraine is specifically to stop Ukraine from being used by the west to sow discord in Russia... he understands how this game works very well... the gas and warm water port is a bonus

I wanted them to stay out.
You're such an expert that only the Saudis are innocent and all other nations and leaders must be toppled

Interesting. One thought I have from reading about the situation is that if the new cryptocurrencies aren't yet funding terrorism, they likely will be.

Ties between radical Islamic forces and Latin American state (and nonstate) actors have also already hit U.S. shores, which is why prioritizing this issue is long overdue. U.S. officials managed to tie the Iranian elite military unit, the Quds Force, to a failed attempt to try and hire Mexican cartels to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington in October 2011. Hezbollah-affiliated individuals are also trying to use the U.S. banking system to launder ill-gotten gains from drug trafficking in collaboration with Latin American cartels, as law enforcement officials put a halt to this money laundering activity in Miami back in October 2016.

What better way to launder money and fund all manner of illicit activities than with something anonymous and outside of government control?

Port Tartus is tiny and the Russians have had 4 births there since 1971.. .. As for gasfields.. Syria is not that important. Iran, Qatar, the Stans have far more natural gas than Syria.
