I think you are the one living in another world. Assad has never used gas, nor has he bombed his own people, otherwise the Syrian people would not all be in favor of him as president. A little common sense here. If you recall, whatever WMD the Syrian government had was removed by Russia a few years ago, and their elimination was signed by the US as well.

The only gas that has been found in Syria are in the areas inhabited by ISIS and Al Queda, but the MSM will never tell you that because it doesn't suit Washington's narrative.

As for Assad killing his own people that's a lie because his people are not the terrorists coming in from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and the Central Asian states... His people are the Syrian Christians, Alawites, Shias, and other minorities who have gone to Damascus and the Syrian held areas so as to not be killed by the terrorists that we have been supporting... and are continuing to support.

The so called American coalition is in Syria illegally. Their only purpose is to create chaos and havoc so as to get rid of the legally elected president of the Syrian Republic. Washington's plan has always been to break up the country into ethnic enclaves, that way they can be at each other's throats and remain weak.

This is not what the Syrian people want though. They have lost over 200 thousand men fighting the foreign supported terrorists so they can preserve their secular way of life. Don't you think they have a right to choose what they want, and not have Soros and his globalist ilk choosing their governmen
    t for them?

Washington has now grabbed Raqqa which contains over 40% of Syria's oil and gas resources under a pretense that the FSA and Kurds have freed the city. Right, they freed the city by bombing it into oblivion and killing thousands of civilians. Washington pretends that it's supporting the FSA, except that the FSA doesn't exist. They are part of Al Queda... who if you recall, are the ones who knocked down the World Trade Towers.

The whole thing is nothing but a cash grab for the US.

Assad's father also gassed his people.. and NOBODY used barrel bombs on Syrians except Assad.

Syria has no cash to grab.. Its has been a failed state since 2006. .. and the Assad family had already looted the country.

If Russia was so keen to help the Syrian people, why didn't they step up to the plate in 2010?

Why didn't Assad keep his promises to initiate reforms in 2008?

Why didn't he fight corruption and oppression?

And now of course you can't leave because there's such a big mess.

The US didn't get involved in Syria until late 2014.. and our involvement has been quite small. Why are you so paranoid about America?

Not until 2014.. Prior to that is was soft support like food. We aren't the bad guys here. Assad and his family are.

Why are you so keen to side with Russian and the Iranian propaganda against the US?

The evidence says otherwise. Hopefully, with the grace of God, one day Assad will be brought up on war crimes. Russia is complicit in the crimes. Regimes that bomb hospitals are on the low end of the scale of humanity. How many people have been killed, tortured or are missing under the Assad regime? How many have been forced to leave to avoid having their family killed? Interesting that Russia (who has re-established influence in the middle east), Turkey ( who wants to eliminate the Kurds along their border) and Iran ( who really want to be the dominant Muslim country in the region with eyes on Iraq's and Syria's oil) are getting together to lay out a plan for Syria's future.

Many in Congress don't want to know the situation in the fight against ISIS. If you have one of those Congressmen then you might think about replacing them. The average younger American can not tell you who their Congressman is or even the name of the vice-president. With all the information available out there I would say the average American is politically stupid.

The defenseless is about all they can defeat. Barrel bombs, chemical weapons, bombing hospitals, torture and murder of prisoners is their modus operandi. The Russians are no better.

I read this morning that Assad and Iran said they plan to put bases in Lebanon and Bibi countered, "Do it and we'll bomb them".

Why is Putin putting up with such crap?

That is why in this country we have the government we deserve. Americans spend more effort trying to get out of jury duty than they spend informing themselves of what the government is doing.

Syria has very little oil and its very poor quality. Syria's value is as a transit state for a gas pipeline from South Pars which will put it in competition with gas from Russia and the Caspian region.

I guess then the Syrian people deserve having their oil and gas stolen by the US, after all they can't be very smart since they voted en masse for someone who tortures and kills them. Washington has to tell them then who to vote for. It's called 'democracy building'.

Here's Washington's evidence on the hospitals Russia bombed.

And here are people trying to escape Raqqa while it was being 'liberated' by the coalition. More bombs were dropped on the city than in all of Afghanistan. From reports, the bombings occurred after Washington allowed ISIS to escape with their families so they could fight elsewhere. Probably Yemen.

Jeannette, Syria has very little oil and its very poor quality. Nobody is interested in their oil. Syria's value is as a pipeline transit state for gas from South Pars which is a huge gas field shared by Iran and Qatar. That gas would be in direct competition with Russian gas and gas from the Stans.

Meanwhile, there is a glut of oil on the market.. Russia and OPEC are trying to REDUCE production to keep the price above $45 a barrel.

In the US shale producers have done a good job reducing production costs, but even they are extremely concerned about the glut of oil on the market... So stop talking foolishness.

Russia wants to keep diplomatic relations open with all countries, even Israel. It keeps channels open for peace, although it seems they're getting fed up over the American occupied area in Syria, because the Russia jets are acting very aggressive towards them.

But Russia does believe firmly in the sovereignty of states, so if Lebanon wants Iranian bases as protection from Washington, Saudi Arabia and Israel, then it's their right as a sovereign nation, and Israel has no business interfering.

If that's true, then why doesn't the US stop occupying the section of Syria that contains 40% of Syria's oil and gas deposits, when they know the Syrians needs it to rebuild their country? Russia has removed the notification system for jets flying in Syrian air space, and according to an American pilot the air traffic is immense over the occupied area, so they don't know which jets are part of the coalition and which ones aren't.

He said they have to get up close, and the Russian jets are being very aggressive. These things do not bode well, so why doesn't the US take its damn forces out of Syria. They have no legal right to be there.
