    Smoke and mirrors bernie......

If healthcare is "free" then why is the "cost" such a big deal?
    Answer: Nothing is free.

Smoke & Mirror answers at least are answers, even if they are diversions.

He just says "I don't know"

    Points for honesty at least!

Yes, but the biggest problem is that apparently very few of the political Left comprehend basic economics and so they really think that they never will run out of other peoples' money.

    So...lets take stock here.

Free child day care to age 3, free pre-school starting at age 3, which will no doubt last until they get to kindergarten at age 6. Free education through 12 grade and then free higher education that ranges anywhere from 2-8 years depending on your field of study.

He also wants a UHC for everyone. And I do mean EVERYONE. Including illegal aliens. He also wants to get rid of ICE and CPB effectively making it to where there is no one guarding our borders, meaning open borders. Oh yeah and illegal aliens will also get the benefits of free education...and I'll bet the child day care he just announced.

He also supports the Green New Deal, something that has been estimated to cost around 51-93 trillion over a decade.

He wants to quadruple SS benefits.

He wants to invest 2.5 trillion to build 10 million new affordable homes (meaning HUD more than likely)

He wants to "eliminate" every single American's past due medical debt. Since he can't just wave a wand and make it just disappear then that means that the government is going to have to take on that debt and pay for it.

Edit to add: He also wants to "cancel" all student debt....again, he can't just make it disappear so the government is going to have to pay for it.

    Sounds nice.

Questions: 1: How is he expecting to pay for all of that? 2: What is it going to take to get all of that set up and running? And remember... it cost taxpayers over 500 million dollars for our government to set up a website.....

Other people's kids are the screwing I get for the screwing THEY got. It's a freebie. If they don't want the responsibility then don't **** or use birth control.

That's what they are thinking yes. I remember the NY governor a few years ago complaining that state taxes were now so high on the wealthy that they were fleeing and taking their revenue sources with them. It's as if the concept of 'cause and effect' is utterly alien to the political Left.

It is a scam to flood the country with foreigners who will get paid for babysitting their own kids while taking care of citizens' kids.

Gee, let's find out why households need to have two parents working when a generation ago they didn't.

Could it be that unending and continually rising costs pretty much force many parents to work? The crazy regulations that make things more expensive along with the always growing rising taxes coupled with the creation of new ones? It used to cost $0.50 cents to cross the George Washington Bridge, today it costs $15.00. What changed?

Also, we have 330 million people in this country with the vast majority stating they're happy with their lives, and guess what? We did that without the government offering to grab our kids and most likely indoctrinate them. Any psychologist will tell you that the best place for a kid to be raised, especially during their youngest years, is with the parents.

So now Sanders whats to raise taxes to watch our kids and you know what that means, right? Those places that watch our kids will be heavility regulated, they'll probably turn everyone into public employees make that unionized public employees where the standards for childcare will be as low as the unions can drag them. There will be costly benefits for the employees, bad employees won't ever get fired, instead they'll be paid to sit in a room surfing the internet just like they do with the bad teachers.

But in the end everyone has to wonder why Sanders would propose this when we're all going to be murdered by global warming in a few years.

I sincerely have to question the motives of anyone who would even remotely consider voting for Sanders, the long time puppet of Castro and Chavez..

If anyone is foolish enough to believe the BS about the budget being balanced in 15 years it means that there will be no growth in spending during that time frame. The reality is that the federal budget will never be balanced because to do so would mean an astronomical increase in taxes coupled with a severe reduction in government spending, which will increase unemployment numbers. On top of that it would tick off the financial markets that trade in government securities.

Without a steady stream of replacements (children) who will take care of you and do your fighting and dying in foreign lands?

This can be done instead of using our money for foreign aid and military aid it's better to apply this money to our children, foreign countries did get a lot of freebies from us while at home we still have a lot of very important things to take care with.

Under Sanders plan we would be paying for childcare for Hunter Biden's illegitimate kid.

How is caring for the youngest and poorest not a government responsibility or a judicious use of money?

If his mother could make use of affordable childcare, why is that a bad thing?

I don't think this is a plan that entails the government running childcare facilities - although trump is already doing a piss poor job of that with his kids in cages.

My understanding is that the plan would just entail making childcare more affordable for those who need it.

No, it does not force anyone to use the childcare program.
