Bernies model is, if we can somehow get rid of all money. Sort of like Star Trek.

Anybody making that much money, who would voluntarily vote for Bernie and his plans, should be able to afford meeting up and providing that much money for such things without Bernie forcing it from them. That's if they really care about such things.

If Trump couldn't reach levels of economic growth to pay for itself, what makes you think that Bernie can make a net positive revenue stream???

To those who say a couple has to decide not to have children until they can afford it, I say to you don't you know we have a shortage of population in this country?

Remember this when @MTLegal is ever taking shots at the President for proposing plans that will elimate the deficit

Its never about the proposal with a potential nominee, its about the direction of the conversation the proposal starts. A conversation on child care is desperately needed, but it needs to happen in a Democratically controlled House and Senate, and with a Democrat in the White House. The real question is what does Sanders at the top of the ticket to our chances at that happening, as opposed to if a Warren, a Buttigieg, and Klobuchar or a Biden are at the top of the ticket. I am worried that Bernie will end up doing more harm for his own idea, if he is leading this charge in 2020. Good guy with good ideas,, but maybe wrong place for him to be in November to fight for it.

He's a little late. If they want to do it, give it to Trump and Ivanka, they started it.

Here Trump started free or affordable child care for single low income mothers. This was because of the urging of Trump's Daughter Ivanka. https://freefinancialhelp.net/free-childcare-assistance/

    Trump signs Autism bill

Trump signs autism legislation into law providing $1.8B in research funding. There is no medical test available to diagnose autism. Autism is diagnosed by observing the development of a child, according to the CDC. Characteristics of autism were studied as symptoms of schizophrenia in the early 1900's. Rep. Smith says the bill will fund research, early detection and treatment for autism spectrum disorder. Oct 2 2019

Sanders plan would call for massive tax hikes at all levels of income...including on small business owners, and he would kill private healthcare insurance..https://www.atr.org/list-tax-hikes-sanders-medicare-all-plan?amp..this is only for his medicare for all program....adding this other trillion dollar project, and his Green New Deal....who knows where the taxes would ever end

Tax cuts do not add to the deficit. Only spending can do that. It is neither a freebie nor an investment. It will have to be paid for and like everything else the government takes over, any potential benefits will be absorbed by bureaucracy. Talk about literally making this a nanny state!

Yep....and Sanders and the Dems all voted against Trump and the GOP's tax reform, doubling the tax credit for childcare....in addition say his budget calling for over a billion more in childcare funding...DOA.

The ;Dems really aren't for helping with childcare.

If everything is 'free', why do people need a minimum wage of $15?

How sad that people actually think this is a good idea.

It doesn't take a village to raise a child. It takes two parents who put their children first. Those who have the "It takes a village.." mentality are generally the same people who shouldn't be having kids in the first place. If you need to wharehouse your children, then why did you choose to be parents in the first place? And didn't we, as a country decide that government controlled and funded universal childcare was a tad bit of a horrific situation when it was en-vogue in the Soviet Union? Or is the indoctrination of toddlers something that some segments of society think is a good thing?

And who is going to administer this universal daycare? The same people who brought you that monumental fiasco of Obamacare? You know, that same program that was supposed to save every American Family $2,500 dollars a year and it ended up costing the average American family an extra $3,500 a year? The same government who couldn't even manage to get their website, healthcare.gov to work? The same people who so efficiently run the DMV? These individuals?

That medicare for all tax plan would be a net benefit to my middle class income of approximately 10,000$ a year.

I have every reason to expect the costs of the Green New Deal to be even greater than anticipated, so I'm comfortable with that estimate. Nevertheless, the point remains that Sanders wants to spend more money than the American people and economy can afford.

Finally, once again, no thanks to granting power-hungry, money-grubbing Leftists more control over everyone's lives

Trump is not proposing any plans to eliminate the deficit. Even his current proposed budget continues to add to the budget until the economy somehow starts to grow at a faster rate than he has ever accomplished.
