Exactly. People like Vick were easy not to like as a player, but he didn't affect the entire team (although I'm a Saints fan so I never liked the Falcons anyways). Same with thug Plaxico Burress and the Giants when he brought a gun into the club and shot his own leg, or Pac Man Jones, Ray Rice, etc. . .. Kaepernick, however, disrespected the country and the NFL did nothing about it so the patriotic Americans took offense and stopped watching football.

Reid cannot sue them for peanuts because a team has the right to ask the question of a prospective player and then base their decision to sign or not sign him on his answer.

He's got the right to take a knee. And the Ravens have the right to decide not to sign him.

Kaepernick is suing the league for collusion, but he knows that's a losing case.

BTW, the NFL is not a nation. They have no legal authority whatsoever over anyone.

I would like to provide the following newsflash for the liberals in here who desperately need a clue:

THE NFL IS NOT THE GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY. THEY ARE A PRIVATE ORGANIZATION. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO SET WORKPLACE POLICY.

    You're welcome.

Actually, in the NFL, you kinda can. The NFL CBA is such that teams can cut players at any time and very few NFL contracts are guaranteed.

There are many quarterbacks in the NFL who aren't stellar throwers. Few could match Tebow's ability to to manage his team to victory, a far more important skill. In fact, the only skill that counts.
His time in Denver proved that and his playoff win vs. Pittsburgh backs that up (Broncos were 1-4 before Tebow took charge as starter...after Tebow they became a conference winner for the first time in years).

There is no place at all for Tebow in a league with guys like Jay Cutler, Mark Sanchez, DeShone Kizer? I don't think so.
He's better off in baseball now but knocking Tim Tebow's arm as the reason why he was waived out of the league when it was
his up front Christianity that made the PC NFL treat him like a leper is b.s.
"No other quarterback under 30 in NFL history has won a playoff game and then never started another NFL game".
Tebow was simply black balled for his beliefs....period! Kaepernick gets all the pity and tears, despite how he has been his own worst enemy.
But it's Tebow who is a victim and martyr for his beliefs but you'll never hear him whining.

Anyone being honest would admit that Kaepernick isn't being signed because his backup level talent is not worth the hassle and distraction he would bring. His stats may be better than some active QBs, but nothing destroys a team faster than a huge locker room and media distraction.

If he was more talented, he would have a job right now. If he was the same player but never knelt, he would have a job right now. But the combination of mediocre-talent plus locker room nuclear bomb makes signing him a bad idea.

100% correct.... however, for optical (and defending against Kap's lawsuit) purposes, it will be much better for the NFL if they are clear that it's the mediocre-talent side that is clearly the larger side of the combination... I'm sure word gets out between NFL teams (coaches/scouts/film guys) on the talent level of certain players, saving teams the effort of bringing them in for tryouts. If, however, there was any effort between owners to prevent anybody giving Kap a job due to the "media distraction" issue, that will be trouble. As I said many posts above, I doubt that exists, but you never know...

Yeah....bs indeed. Let me repeat that Tebow took over a floundering 1-4 club and led them to their first playoff win in years(over a much favored Pittsburgh team) and then wasn't even back in Denver the next season....not even as a third stringer!

Tim Tebow was "crucified" (no pun intended but it fits) for his up front Christian views. There is no other explanation.

    SNIP
Despite the team's success, however, Tebow’s potential as a professional level quarterback was called into question due to a perceived lack of passing ability, persistent fumbles, and having the lowest passing completion rate in the league.
    ENDSNIP

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Tebow

Looked it up... 46.5% completion pct.... geez... 60% is now considered pretty low... 6 fumbles as well...

He wouldn't have been wanted back as a 3rd stringer as the cost probably would have been too high....

But you are saying the NFL somehow (jointly or individually) decided to blackball Tebow from playing for any team?? If Tebow has any proof of that, I'm sure Kap's lawyers would like to have a long chat with him...

Tebow’s religious devotion was not why he’s no longer in the nfl, in fact his “Tebowing” before, during and after games actually caught on and now everyone does it. Tebow’s gameplay just wasn’t a fit for the pros. I said his throwing wasn’t great but really his accuracy was even worse. He had a 46.5% completion rating when he started for the Broncos that year, and in both of those playoff games it was a 40.4% rating.

Insulting your customer base is bad business. The NFL owners, collectively, have been fools.
There may not be a cure for that.

Why? There is no legal recourse for Tebow just as with Kaepernick if everyone decides you aren't worth the bother.

And despite his potential as a professional level quarterback being called into question he ironically succeeded in a big way leading a team of also rans into the playoffs which is the most important statistic any quarterback can aspire to.

"Tim Tebow is perhaps the least-pursued winning quarterback in NFL history, and the only way for him to salvage his career is by refusing to engage the media throng that hangs on his every word.

Despite the fact that Tebow had a record of 7-4 as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos in 2011—including an overtime victory over the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs—there isn't a single team in the league interested in signing him.

Not as a backup quarterback, not as a third-string quarterback or any other position he could potentially play in the NFL.

There's zero interest in Tebow right now"
    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...alled-qb-must-ignore-media-to-save-nfl-career
Yahoo! Sports' Michael Silver is starting to wonder if the quarterback is being blackballed by the NFL because of Tebowmania: "Against all odds, I'm starting to wonder whether the man who helped the Denver Broncos become one of the league's most stunning success stories in 2011 is getting unjustly blackballed."

And yet, Tebow somehow got the Broncos into the AFC championship game.
    So terrible yet so successful.

Colin should move into a Chicago or Baltimore or St. Louis ghetto...where kneeling...and ducking and diving and sidestepping all them oppressed, victimized, put-upon black folks' bullets is mandatory.

The Broncos played for the league championship. He obviously was "good".
Stop and think about what a logical stink bomb your contention is.

They didn’t make it to the AFC Championship. The Pats curb stomped them the week after his miracle play.

He got turned down on jobs because he suck as a QB, not as an "America hater." Kneeling during the national anthem doesn't mean a person hates America.

There a reason you quoted my question and didn't answer? I hope you aren't Kaepernick's lawyer.
