So how many white collar criminals are gonna get pardons past their way? Blago next? When your white and rich you don't do time I guess that's one thing that will never change. Meanwhile let's arrest people for having pot.

That is a really **** argument. Try to explain how "the mere fact of what just happened means that attorney client privilege is a figment of our imagination."

But simply asking for advice does not mean that all of his communications are privileged. If he was not actually seeking or trying to obtain legal advice, then there is no privilege.

There are many things that can be said about Woods. Quite clear where her personal bias is.

However, that's the way it goes.

It shouldn't come as any surprise an ardent liberal would rule in favor of a Nation/State that pushes the boundaries of due process and equal protection.

Really, the only thing of interest here is if Mrs. Hannity wants to use the information... it must have been an awkward night in the home front last night.

Hannity never retained Cohen and never paid Cohen a penny in fees.

    How is he a client?

Some nice points here. Hannity is struggling with the truth, having finally been exposed. Is anyone surprised?

The Fox host is now claiming that he saw Cohen as a pal he consulted on a casual basis about some innocuous real estate matters. Nonetheless, he definitely considered it to be an attorney-client relationship, demanding that the appropriate privilege be recognized and all communications be off-limits to government agents.

Hannity seems to want it both ways, but that's not really going to work. He can probably claim that his communications with Cohen are privileged, but he also needs to explain why, if their consultations were so trivial, he hasn't simply admitted it and waived the privilege. He's within his legal rights to assert that privilege, of course, but making a federal case involving the president out of an apparent trifle doesn't seem too smart.

Moreover, this is a man who is worth more than $80 million. Hannity owns a private jet, which he lent to his old friend Newt Gingrich during the 2016 campaign so the former speaker could go meet with Trump in Indiana to be vetted for the vice presidency. It seems unlikely that a man of such means would consult a thuggish fixer such as Cohen for routine legal advice when he can clearly afford any top-drawer attorney he wants.

I don't believe you are correct there. It's not a confessional.

Have you considered that Hannity may be lying?

"Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter. I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees. I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective."

    Simple words....

Does that mean he never spoke to Cohen outside of seeking legal advice?

When did Hannity suddenly get interrested in the truth?
He'd better hope the FBI doesn't find evidence contrary to his statement.
Looks like their little secret is out. What else do they have to hide?

LOL. As I mentioned after the election in November 2016, I expect Trump to lead the most entertaining Presidency evah!

It just gets better and better. I fully expected to be crying daily had Hillary been elected. Life is good!

An attorney was forced to hand over his client list. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Attorney client list is not protected by the attorney client privilege.

    So...want to try again?

Handing over those documents do not violate the attorney client privilege unless privileged documents are used in the court proceeding.

A legal privilege that works to keep communications between an attorney and his or her client secret. The privilege is asserted in the face of a legal demand for the communications, such as a discovery request or a demand that the lawyer testify under oath. Contrast with attorney's duty of confidentiality.
