    so here I am
    propped up against my pillows
    again
    just an old guy
    just an old writer
    with a yellow
    notebook.
    something is walking across the
    floor
    toward
    me.
    oh,it's just
    my cat
    this
    time.

I wish I could ring in some bravery
    it's a lousy fix
but the tree outside doesn't know:
I watch it moving with the wind
    in the late afternoon sun.
    there's nothing to declare here
    just a waiting.
    each facing it alone
    Oh,I was once young
    Oh,I was once unbelievably
    young!

Well,I grew up quick and I grew up mean.
My fist got hard and wits got keen.
Roamed from town to town to hide my shame,
but I made me a vow to the moon and stars,
I'd search the honky tonks and bars and kill
that man that gave me that awful name.

Hesiod in ancient-ancient Greece was also a poet.

But he was also the first philosopher only he did not know it.

I too as you can tell am a bit of a poet too.

Making rhymes is a wonderful use of time.

And readers love it and cant get enough of it.

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails.
And that's when a meat inspector is present at the hot dog plant.

I'm not sure how this works. Is this Friday or my Saturday.
Even worsted.Id this my post or an Imposter.
    Like who would know.
If this pop stand was my grade school { Parochial } I'm pretty sure
the Nuns would know. They knew everything.Cept how to dress or
wear their hair. They shore nuff knew how to grab a students hair to get
their attention. But that's another story. The best men are those who were
taught by them Nuns. The Nuns in my Era played a vital part in Society.
Think of them as the polar opposite of them Kardashians.
A lot of today's problem stem form a Kardashian mindset.
Where Humility and Virtue are non existent.
However them Nuns { to a one } fell deeply for J.F.K.
Not just because he was The Only Catholic Prez but also because he was
    Handsome and very straight-talking.
I wonder if they knew the kind of lines he used to commit adultery
even while in the White House. The guy was shore a talker. And Womanizer!
Could probably talk a Nun right under the sheets,he could.
He never had time for any Last Rites. So ... Heaven may not have been
an option for Jack Kennedy. No matter how nimble or quick he was
    around the galsy.God is not a Galsy.Last I checked.

Yup I do everything by the numbers.

That was one of the main things I learned from the USMC -- learning and execution by the numbers.

These are called lists -- or checklists.

They are very important if you want to do something right.

I stick to Oscar Meyer. These ones have cheese in them too.

Hotdogs are a puree of beef, pork, turkey, and lard. Very tasty.

Bacon is worse -- more lard in them.

Sausage is not much better than bacon -- lots of grease in them too just more pork.

I don't feel like cooking today. Too tired.

Today is my Thursday and this week I have already had 2 people try to kill me in my job.

Fortunately they were not armed. So they would not have stood a chance against my 45ACP or even my baton. I did need the baton to discourage one of them. The other stood down.

I had nightmares about the one who would not stand down. Two other officers came to my aid and they hosed him down with OC spray. Take that.

I don't believe in using OC spray. It lasts too long. A wack from a baton is quick and the pain ends faster.

Plus with OC it can back-spray at you if the wind is blowing or even a slight breeze.

I gave my OC spray can to my sister in case she needs it. There are a lot of homeless who infest her hospital campus. She is a nurse.

I think I'll go to McDonalds for a Sausage McMuffin for breakfast. I need to get gasoline anyway before my shift starts tonight.

I will probably need coffee today -- same as @Smartmouthwoman every day does.

I am running out of groceries anyway. Only have 1 egg left and I was saving that for waffles.

Oscar Meyer has their Select Hot dogs which are their best.
But some of the Kosher Hot dogs are really good.Better beef.
My Father used to Get Homemade hot dogs a couple blocks
away from his place of Work.It was in an old ethnic neighborhood
where this German guy brought his Hot dog/sausage machine
from Germany. They looked really homemade with the white string
tied on each end.Very tasty they were.Full of flavor and juicy.
Across the street from the hot dog butcher who also had great
salami and Prosky { a garlic style thuringer } was a Bakery with
    great Rye bread.
