Linux is free and installable on any PC, m'dear. I bought my newest system at a smaller American outfit called Office Depot. Perhaps you've heard of it? It came with Windoze 8.1 :icon_(*)(*)(*)(*)happens:

But that's OK. I bought it with the intention of installing Linux, specifically Fedora Linux, onto it. Runs great! Linux almost always runs great. It runs better on the Mac mini that I hooked up to my TV for media center + console emulation use than OS X does, too! But that one is running Ubuntu.

 

Negative. TMI here but I have a very sensitive gag reflex and I can't consume beer quickly enough to get a buzz. If I drink it too fast, it comes right up.
Liquor is quicker and I'm a fan of expedient results.

So you're revamping your computer nixing Windows, replacing it with Lamo Linux and pimping up your entertainment system and have no cell and a landline.
Dude, I have some spectacular oceanfront property in Arizona to sell. Cheap.

 

You can come up and see my set-up any time Linux is only a little lamo for games, though I have a few things that run just fine on it. It's mainly for internet fun and work, and as far as I'm concerned it's better than Windows or Mac for those purposes.

 

My days of getting hammered are long passed.
