The key word in my reply was "all". Jessie Jackson is a racist idiot but he is not all black people (however much he'd like to be). I don't believe all black Americans have the same blinkered views, just as I don't think all white Americans do. It applies whether the defense invokes it or not whether they seek a dismissal or not. It didnt apply in the Zimmerman defense case because he was on his back being beaten and unable to flee, even if he wanted to. It was included in the jury instruction because it is still applicable to the general charge of murder and manslaughter.
No, but you did imply that (all) blacks who oppose SYG should change their mind for the sole reason that more black people successfully use it as a defence. That assumes that the black people who oppose SYG have no other perfectly legitimate reason for their objection, maybe even one that has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour at all (which is presumptuous at best). Apparently, the concept of holding an opinion on something that has nothing to do with skin colour is a difficult one for some people.
Sorry bruh, but the past has taught us that MANY blacks base their EVERY opinion solely on skin color and so that is our default. Of course intellectually we know that doesn't apply to all blacks, but it is what it is.
Yes, anyone(black, white, yellow, purple) who opposes SYG because they think it puts more black people in danger are not aware of the facts. Anyone can object to anything they want. They're allowed to have an opinion and that opinion can be ignorant, which makes them ignorant as well or just dishonest, like Sharpton and co. They know EXACTLY what they're doing, by preying on all those who don't. They're using race and twisting facts or simply not using any at all. Anyone who thinks you should be forced to allow yourself to be beaten senseless, because defending yourself is wrong, is missing some DNA.
