The problem with those who would address climate change is they ignore what is real.
On a sunny, hot day; have you felt the heat from asphalt, concrete, earth and grass in the afternoon?
Larger cities. Suburban sprawl spread heat sink materials and no one says nothin'.
Yet that is real. We can all feel it. We can see it on dopplar as storm fronts approach cities and weaken whereas parts of the storm that do not pass over the city continue with strength.

Imagine being born at the end of the little ice age and never seeing the canals of Amsterdam freeze again. Nor the Delftware river.

Has climate change ever before in history been affected by man? Has man ever before been in a position to do something about it? Why should man accept that since it's happened before that man should accept it again? I will start with the "97% of scientists are in agreement" .... it's a bald face lie.

There is no 97% of scientist consensus. That was a lie when it was first told and it's a bigger lie today because it has been debunked repeatedly, but let's do it again.

The “97 percent” statistic first happened in 2009 . A student from the University of Illinois created a push survey that was not done scientifically, had poor response, and was tallied in an attempt to gain the desired conclusion. The student bogusly concluded there was no longer a debate on Man Made Global Warming among scientists, even though only 5% responded, which was about 160 "scientists". The “97%” statistic came from an smaller subset. The 79 respondents that they made their lie up from, were both self-proclaimed climate scientists and had claimed they “published more than 50% of their recent peer-reviewed papers on the subject of climate change.” These 77 "scientists" agreed that global temperatures had generally risen since 1800, and that human activity was a contributing factor.”

If you liars are going to keep claiming that 77 people (not confirmed scientists) that responded to a push survey make up 97% of the scientific community, then you no longer have credibility and we cannot take you seriously.

The fact of the matter is that we have had a now 20 year "pause" which cannot be explained by you cultists. We also have data being adjusted only up, raw data being destroyed and NOT shared upon request, even with a FOIA.

The credibility gap Man Made Global Warming Advocates is enormous.

 

Climate change has been caused by living beings in the past.

It was living cells that excreted oxygen that caused the iron in the oceans to rust to the bottom and altered the balance of gases surrounding the planet.

It was plant life taking over the continents that caused the second great climate change.

So just because mankind wasn't around does not mean that life cannot cause climate change.

Yes. You are getting it. Climate change is natural. We are in a warning period, which has paused for about 20 years. What you don't have is solid proof that man is causing it and all of the models on your side of the debate have been proven false.

When you have national leaders, most with advanced university degrees, claiming all the scientific science supporting climate change is fake, and seeking every open avenue to block efforts to deal with it legally, they are the ones making it a constant issue.

 

I'm not sure your doom and gloom is accurate. But let's just say, for the sake of argument, that glaciers are disappearing, coral reefs are dying, and species are going extinct, all as a result of a few degrees Centigrade of warming temperatures over the past few decades. You still haven't made a case for why you believe that human activity is the primary cause of all this mayhem.

I did actually inherit a shelter when I bought the property adjacent to my home. I bought the parcel without knowing it was there. It was built in 1961, and as far as I can tell, no one had been inside it since the end of Viet Nam. I've converted it to a man cave.

The data doesn't support your assertion. There hasn't been a "few degrees Centigrade of warming", even going back to the end of the last little ice age. We're talking about <1F. That folks like the above continue to massively overstate the data is emblematic of the real problem with the AGW faithful. Facts, for them, simply don't matter.

 

absurd on it's face. Krakatoa decreased temperatures over night by nearly 2 degrees by some estimations. The asteroid that appears to have ended the age of the dinosaurs drastically lowered temperatures world wide, and ushered in wholesale changes in atmospheric chemistry. Nature has with frequency produce far more drastic climatic changes than the degree rise in average temperature we have thus far experienced.
