LOL The very fact you think that could cut through a metal beam of that size shows how little you understand power tools.

From what I can find, the dems kept saying no concrete. To the president, that must have meant they might go for a steel wall, because he thought they were negotiating. Apparently, they refuse to negotiate.

This is what they have said:

That means, where there is no wall, there will remain no wall. Where there is ranch fencing it will remain. Where there is nothing, there will remain nothing. That's what they say they have passed in bills.

Honestly, none of that answers the question of what they have talked about, steel or concrete.

So, you then agree that businesses who hire illegals, being held accountable, would be more effective?

Or, do you think concrete is better than steel?

    What was your point?

There’s a lot of that in the middle of the desert, eh? What about the steel fence in San Diego? You saw the video of the horde approaching it, did you see any crossing over it?

Department of Homeland Security testing of a prototype of the steel-slat design that Donald Trump favors for his Mexico border wall proved that it could be cut through with a saw, NBC News reports. A photo obtained by the network shows the slats with a gaping hole in the middle after experts from the Marine Corps were instructed to attempt to destroy the barriers with common tools. Testing by DHS in late 2017 showed all eight prototypes, including Trump’s favored steel slats, were vulnerable to breaching,

Tell them that locks can be cut or drilled out. Then ask why do they have locks on the doors of their homes?

I am sure that a diamond studded blade will cut through concrete as well. There are concrete specific blades, but either will work.

Motion detectors and cameras are used for security as well. I like the idea of the "failed" 2005 design that was mentioned further up. Obviously a technical solution would work for much of the Rio Grande better than a fence. Come up with a hybrid solution that works.

Oh. Ok. Brain eh? Ok, let's see about "brain", shall we?

"The liberal bias MSM"? So "MSM" is a "liberal bias"? Let's go on....

What's "accedling"? How does something "accedle"? What was that about "brain"?

Hmmmm. Why did Trump talk about it possibly being a steel wall then? Oh. Stupid Chief Deplorable, huh? :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Do you mean "exceeding tanks an...... uh, ... no. Maybe you mean it's a tank where people go to accede to someone's demands? ... No. That isn't making sense. But then neither does an "acceding tank". Again, what was that about "brain"?

REALLY?!!!! MY GAWD! THAT'S POSITIVELY BRILLIANT!!!!

Right. Trump said Mexico would pay for it in "one payment" of $5-10 billion. Now he says Mexico will pay for it through the trade deal. BS. Taxpayers like YOU will be paying for it. The "trade deal" proceeds don't even go to the US Treasury. THEY GO TO THE CORPORATIONS INVOLVED IN THE TRADE. So how does that "pay" for the wall? Are those corporations going to shell out the money? That is the only way Mexico will be "paying for the wall. You should be demanding that Trump get the money from the corporations trading with Mexico if he is not to just be a liar on this issue too.

The thing is, cameras and sensors use a lot more power than a simple open/closed circuit. Such an circuit could go for many miles without needing power. If I wanted to defeat the motion detectors and cameras I’d attack their power source. A closed circuit with no or little power can set off an alarm when opened. Think of the foil used on windows to protect against break ins. Simple, effective, cheap.

You’re right of course. So let’s open the borders, abolish the borderpatrol and ICE, and let the lovely people from the worlds most dangerous cities, which are just south of us, waltz in. How many are you willing to live next to you? I’m sure the diversity of having an illegal drug lord, human trafficker or a lowly rapist next door to you will send a tingle up you leg.

It's like Trump forgot the Dems won the house, so it's not like it was where he can huff & puff and threaten a primary challenge like he could with his Repubs.
He has just hitched his wagon to a loser and he is throwing good republicans after bad right now.
If he was smart he would get a commitment out of McConnell or Pelosi to go back to work on comprehensive immigration reform and claim victory on the shutdown.

Apache posted a picture of a hack saw and you didn't mention it. Why do you react to an angle grinder with a battery pack?

Typical righty, jumping from one extreme to the opposite extreme in the hope of convincing everyone that there's a problem with the first. LOL!!!!

Technology is great and so is the right tool for the job but a battery operated grinder with a cutting wheel isn't it. Anyone determined enough and with enough time can defeat almost any barrier. The point of a boarder wall is as a deterrent only. Core-10 steel as proposed with concrete fill or almost any other secondary material for that matter is very difficult to defeat with any small hand tools. Secondary fill material helps to slow the progress of the primary tool since there is no universal cutting wheel that works well enough or in time.
If a steel wall or fence was to be defeated in time before detection, a shape charge would do the job easily. Oxyacetylene or Plasma cutting could also work. Other tools that could also work would be hydraulic spreaders. Brute force would also work depending on how.

Oh yes, a ladder has been suggested and could also work. I myself would want a substantial (probably inflatable) landing pad on the other side. A person could also be launched over via circus cannon, etc. There are several ways to defeat a substantial barrier but it will act as a deterrent and where used has been about 90% effective.
