There is already evidence of collaboration with the Russians that we all know about, the meeting in Trump Tower (Trump's home at the time) between Junior, Trump's son-in-law, and Trump's campaign manager and representatives of the Russian government. Trump wrote a misleading statement about the meeting -- something about adopting babies -- and a couple days later the truth came out. The Russian government had promised dirt on the Clinton campaign.

Yesterday, without legal basis, Junior used lawyer/client privilege to avoid telling Senators about the conversation between himself and his father. There is no client privilege between father and son.

Put a different way, Trump is still trying to conceal the importance of that meeting. There is only one conclusion. He is hiding something.

I do not claim to be an expert on the matter, but I keep up with developments of this case on a daily basis. When writing an article on the subject, I rely heavily on research.

But that is no longer true. Because of Trump's unilateral decision regarding Jerusalem, the U.S. is no longer a broker in the M.E. peace process. The U.S. can't be trusted to be impartial. Trump proved that to be true.

Putin wants to increase Russia's influence in the Middle East and decrease the influence of the U.S. Trump just ensured that would happen. Israel notwithstanding, Trump is extremely unpopular in the Middle as a consequence of his boneheaded decision.

So, what does Trump say about all this. “I fulfilled my campaign promise – others didn’t!” Trump tweeted early Friday.

The violence is only starting. How long it will continue is anyone's guess. CNN reports, "Jerusalem (CNN)Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces clashed Friday in Jerusalem and the West Bank amid heightened tensions in the region and elsewhere over US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

"A 30-year-old Palestinian was shot and killed during clashes in eastern Gaza, Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Health said, with more than 300 people injured across the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem."

It gets worse. The Independent is reporting, "Israel's military said its aircraft bombed militant targets in Gaza and the Palestinian Health Ministry said at least 14 people were wounded in the strikes, including a number of children.

"Reports on the number of injured ranged from 14 to 25 people, with one report saying six children were wounded.

"The Israeli military said it had carried out the strikes on a Hamas training camp and on a weapons depot in response to rockets fired earlier from Gaza at Israeli towns. Witnesses told Reuters that most of the wounded were residents of a building near the camp."

Either Israeli pilots are very poor at what they do or the casualties are being under-reported.

This violence is a direct result of Trump's regrettable decision.

Mueller removed a top F.B.I. agent, Peter Strzok, this summer (August, to be exact) from his investigation into Russian election meddling after the Justice Department’s inspector general began examining whether the agent had sent text messages that expressed anti-Trump political views, according to three people briefed on the matter.

As the ludicrous story goes -- apparently the best Trump can come up with -- Strzok was responsible for changing the wording in Comey's July statement and, as a result, Clinton was let off the hook. That is so stupid it is laughable.

Judge Napolitano on Fox News said it best. He said that FBI agents are loyal, dedicated, tenacious, and intelligent. To suggest that an FBI agent doesn't have political opinions is ridiculous. Of course they do, the judge said. Out of an abundance of caution Mueller demoted Strzok for a relatively minor indiscretion three months ago.

Napolitano continued by saying that the idea that Strzok was personally responsible for the change in wording and getting Clinton off is ludicrous. First of all, several senior agents played a role in the wording of Comey's statement, not just Strzok. Secondly, Comey is responsible for what Comey said in his statement. Duh! Apparently that concept is too complicated for Trump and supporters like you.

As Trump and his pro-Trump commentators repeat this sorry ass tale, I can only laugh. It just goes to prove how desperate they are.

I think we all need to review what started all this and discover just how foolish our President is.

Politics is war, and it has gotten more and more intense and bitter ever since the Presidential election of 2016. A special prosecutor has been appointed to look into the activities of both the Trump election campaign and the Trump administration. The two sides are virtually at war with one another, and it has gotten bitter, indeed.

In warfare, one side sometimes uses diversionary tactics to keep the other side off balance. As Mueller is closing in on the President, the President is using his minions to divert attention away from himself.

From Trump's viewpoint, he has to do something. Mike Flynn was a senior advisor during the election campaign and transition period and later was appointed Trump's NSA. He was fired after 24 days. In addition to Flynn turning state's evidence, two of Trump's closest associates, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates have been indicted. It is expected that they also will make a deal with the special prosecutor. George Papadopulous, a junior member of Trump's campaign team, has been an informant for Mueller since July, possibly wearing a wire at opportune times.

Trump incriminated himself when he admitted that he knew Flynn lied to the FBI when he asked the FBI director to let Flynn go, then later fired the FBI director because he wouldn't. Then it became known that senior members of Trump's transition team asked Flynn to make a deal with the Russians and it is patently obvious they did so with Trump's blessing.

Trump, his advisors, and his lawyers have tried to use diversionary tactics to sway public opinion away from the Russian probe and an impeachment charge of obstruction of justice. These would include Uranium One, a seven-year old controversy that went nowhere due to lack of evidence and common sense.

Another was the Steele Dossier and Fusion GPS. It, too, went nowhere when the most serious charge was that the DNC paid for an investigation of a political opponent, a common practice in elections, especially Presidential ones.

The RNC and Senate Republicans, including McConnell, have sold their souls to the devil. As Roy Moore held a rally in a barn on Oak Hollow Farm near Fairhope, Ala. (I ain't lying), the RNC and Trump have endorsed a pedophile for the U.S. Senate. Tonight Trump is traveling to Pensacola, Fla., for a rally. Pensacola is ten miles from the Alabama border, but Trump won't step a foot in Alabama to rally for Moore. The President, an admitted sexual predator, wants nothing to do with the pedophile candidate. Trump just wants his vote.

Then there is the one where Mueller's team has become corrupted because an FBI agent was removed from his team in August for writing an anti-Trump text. Supposedly he was responsible for changing the wording of Comey's statement in July, when, as everyone not named Trump knows, Comey is responsible for what Comey says. This diversion is worthy of a good laugh.

Trump's lawyer, John Dowd, decided to fall on his sword, and he, personally, created two diversions, both of them being ridiculously amusing. First, he tried to claim that a Presidential tweet was actually his tweet. Then he tried to assert that the President is above the law, an assertion proven false by history ... twice. Now there appears to be serious disagreements between Trump's lawyers and the White House lawyers.
