So you do understand that there are differences between groups of people. What is your opinion about Ireland? It went from a country that was homogeneous for millennia to 20% immigrant in 30 years. It is expected to be majority minority by 2050. Do you think Irish culture which has existed for this long will be unaffected by this change? Do you think it will change for the better or for the worse? Are people interchangeable? Can people from 3rd world countries make 1st world countries better? Currently powerful elite billionaires are gambling that this is true. What is the consequence if they are wrong? My thought is that perhaps it isn't a great idea to bet Western civilization on the hypothesis that people with diverse, antagonistic and inferior cultures should be the majority population in the West.

At this point, that train has left the station, the Western world will be majority minority and majority Muslim. God help our grandchildren if the elites are wrong.

What is less than honest about what I wrote? Educated people actually do define their terms. In this case, the definition of "liberal" is important to understanding the study. Are they calling modern left wingers liberal? I don't think even they use that term anymore. They call themselves socialists or progressives, but never liberal.

In my view it is a silly argument. Government provides neither.

About 10 years ago the Chinese government decided that they wanted to improve their preparation of teachers.

So they set out to find the best school system in the world with an enrollment of over 100,000 students.
After looking all over the world, they found out that the top system is actually located in the United States.
It is the Lutheran - Missouri Synod system which runs schools all over the country, but mostly in the Midwest.
They then contracted with the flagship school, Concordia University - Chicago to train over 50,000 Chinese educators.

Guess what Natty? The Lutheran system is full of Evangelicals who primarily vote Republican. And to add to the mix, the system wide schools' demographics include a 30% minority enrollment.

It may be that the Chinese government was attracted to the Lutheran - Missouri Synod because it largely eschews political activity, and the last thing China would want to encourage is participatory democracy. The Lutheran Synod being an exception to most American evangelicals who are highly politicized would appeal to China.

I'm unfamiliar with the organization's pedagogical methodology. Please provide a link to any articles concerning China's attraction to it.

The real choice is freedom vs. security. I will take freedom every time. Government takes away little chunks of my freedom every day. It is my enemy.

Labels aside, America is about to witness the cacophonous clash of blind faith against empirical reality.

Hardcore Trump worshippers are impervious to the evidence that has been exposed and will soon be on public exhibition - the pageant of one dedicated, knowledgable public servant after another after another sharing their awareness of what went down in Trump's alleged shake-down of a foreign leader to extract a personal, political "favor."

They will be subjected to vigorous questioning by both those interested in and those antagonistic to what they have to reveal, as well as Trump's lashing out irrationally and viciously.

Trump will persist in fabricating excuses, raging against witnesses, obstructing the testimonies of intimates, resorting to his default position of playing his tattered victim card, his cry baby, whaaa-whaaa-whaaa!, "everybody's-being-mean-to-me!" shtick.

After impeachment and perfunctory negation by the Republican Senate, the truth that will have been exposed will result in a more knowledgable electorate casting its verdict in November, 2020.

It shouldn't be your enemy. It's your government. Vote to control it. Contact your representatives. Paint a few good posters and march in protest. Join groups of like-minded people and do something besides whine about it.

    First it was China...

And then India came calling as well.

This article probably provides the most insight:

If the democratics processes our constitution lays out are a waste of time for you, why do you bother with things like this forum? Do you think your "warnings" are helpful in some way? Or are you just not willing to put actions where your virtual mouth is?

I think my warnings are helpful in some way. Perhaps you can explain how you achieved your political goals.

Thank you for the link. No mention of China, but interesting, nonetheless.

Coincidentally, I just hosted a professor visiting from Shanghai, conversant with her nation's pedagogy, but she never heard of Concordia.

In any event, it does not address the educational disparity among states in this nation:

Given your willingness to post this, I'm taking it you're totally okay with memes suggesting that Michelle (aka, Big Mike) Obama is an ape. Wouldn't want to practice a race-based double standard, would you. Or maybe you would.

Try visiting the 'Problem with Capitalism' thread, if you want to see some heavyweight abdication from action in favour of posturing.

You are free to so opine as a diversionary attempt if you need to, and I shall refrain from speculating why you would say such a thing.

Any similarity you descry between a dead carp and your messiah taps into an ancient Christian tradition of ichthyological symbolism, of course.

Humans have been migratory throughout their existence. Stasis stifles. Diversity enriches culture (and avoids inbreeding.) The US, since its inception, has benefited by waves of immigrants, those eager to work and seek a better education for their progeny, and a better life for all. How many great Americans have risen from meagre circumstances to make significant contributions to their country?

You speak of a past that no longer exists. A past where the immigrant contributed or left. You live in a present where NOTHING is expected of the immigrant. You live in a present where your party is trying its hardest to get the new arrivals addicted to free gibs courtesy of hard working Americans or through taking out debt. You live in a present where your party OPENLY advocates for people to come here illegally. You live in a present where the children of 3rd world immigrants occupy the lowest rung of the socio-economic ladder and numerically outnumber the children of citizens who are more productive.

Do you see the number 93? Do you think a 1st world country can remain 1st world when the majority of its citizens are contributing at that abysmal level? You say they are contributing, I say prove it using data. From where I am sitting they are contributing exactly 1/3 as much as myself and that simply does not cut it.... not even close. If they do not up their game, America as a country is completely DOA.

I'm not a racist. My life is enriched by diversity. I have no reason to pretend that current and future immigrants and their progeny who come to America seeking a better life will not succeed and contribute as has long been the case.

Concordia is a collection of Lutheran religious colleges. I doubt they would have an international reputation.

Thank you, I did. So we'll accept that you're in favour of memes likening Big Mike to an ape :)
