Bedouin Sheikh: My People are of Jewish Descent An Israeli Bedouin Sheikh tells INN TV that he is of Jewish descent. Historian claims most Bedouin, Arabs in Israel are Jewish. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/133875
there are not many Bedouin in Israel. maybe 30,000. most Arabs in Israel are crypto-Jews? that's nonsense, and not supported by any historical evidence or oral history
I never said you use the word "invention", but you use the book of a man which the book discusses and try to prove that the Jews are an invention, so I just asked you, because you used that book as your source, if you think the same as Sand that there is no "Jewish people". I'm still waiting. Please read the Journey of Mark Twain when he visited the Land of Israel in 1869, there, in Chapter LVI, he wrote about the land of Israel: Source: http://www.telelib.com/authors/T/TwainMark/prose/innocentsabroad/innocentsabroad56.html
Mark Twain was writing satire... but there's no question it was arid and impoverished. .. Leprosy was a problem.
if the Palestinian were actually crypto-Jews, they would have announced this decades ago and embraced Judaism.
Blood Brothers: Palestinians and Jews Share Genetic Roots Jews break down into three genetic groups, all of which have Middle Eastern origins – which are shared with the Palestinians and Druze. http://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/science/1.681385
Ok ignore my post and then post some rubbish which has nothing to do with what I said....yawn at your trollish behavior
This DNA PCA plot puts Palestinians with Druze, Yemenite Jews, and Bedouin. This does seem to support that Palestinians are indigenous to the region.
Mark Twain in his book, when he visited the Land of Israel, didnt write satire. The journal of Mark Twain was not a satire book, but was a book which there described the visit of Matk Twain and the American group that he visited with, in the Land of Israel. Therefore, the description of the view in the land was not fictional, but it was what it was, as he sew it. BTW- I found the journal of Rabbi Ben Tudela, and there he described the geography of the land (what close to what, what the distance between city A to city B etc).
Ben Gurion said that "Palestine", and thus "Palestinains" are an invented name, which the Romans invented after the great revolt of the Jews, in an interview he did in 1970, in an Israeli T.V. show called "Hamoked".
When Mark Twain ridiculed on the other travelers does not contradict what I said about his description of the land.
Judea and Israel are biblical names that described territories (Israel was a name of a man) in the biblical period, and was used by other nations.
Judea and Israel are names that refer to persons, not lands. Judea is named after the Tribe and person known as Judah. Israel is the name of Jacob.
Not really. Before 2,000 the name was Judea, as the Romans called it as well. The name was used until Hadrian when he changed it, as he changed the name of Jerusalem (135 AD).
Herodotus, the Greek historian, called it Palestine in 500 BC.. Actually Syria-Palestine because it was a province of Syria.
"Palestine" was a nickname for this land created to disconnect Jews from this land, and Herodotus, for example, called it that way because of the Philistines that were existed in the Land of Israel at ancient times. At the times of the British Mandate "Palestine"/"Paleastina"(= as Hadrian called it) was a way to described the Land of Israel, and that we can find on coins from that period of time, which on it was written "Paleastina The Land of Israel".
