All the American wars after WWII hardly equal one major campaign of WWII (the 2nd 20th cen. European civil war).

 

WTF? Do you even understand what a civil war is? By the way, numbers are irrelevant-except for the 'more is better' obsessive American mindset. It's the attitude and desire for war which is relevant. America seems to have a voracious and insatiable appetite for war and dick-waving.

He's wrong about taxes. We cannot tax our way out of 14 trillion in debt. Gov't spending must be cut. That is the problem.

I've already posted why Don Cherry would consider clueless Leftist Canucks like macljack a "kook". As Egan-Jones pointed out, America's credit rating is in jeopardy on account of the profligacy of Nanny State Leftists who can't control their appetite for more programs and spending....

 

I'll admit it... americans by and large ( no fat pun intended) are stupid. If they hear a Fox talking head say that theyre left foot is socialist more than 10 times.. you can kiss that foot goodbye

 

Let's put it this way. I started a carpet cleaning business and hired 2 workers. Business started to boom and there were too many contracts to handle with two crews so I invested in another van got the equipment and started a third crew.

Because of increasing the income by having a third crew put me in another tax bracket where actual profits went down.

This is what taxing the rich comes down to and it stifles business.

 

On the other hand , it also makes one work harder. As long as you're making/made a profit , why complain. ?

We're not destined to end up like Bil Gates/Warren Buffet etc, are we ?

You don't raise taxes in the middle of a recession. Period. And it would not solve the problem. If (big if) it helped at all it would only be temporary. Do you have any clue how high taxes would need to be raised to "solve" the problem? Clue: currently 40% of every dollar spent by the government is borrowed....and that's only on the Federal level. And that's not touching the massive debt already incurred.

 

You mean, thankfully Americans aren’t nearly as dumb as you Canadians.

In any event, please explain this to me: When taxes are raised on cigarettes, beer, liquor, and gasoline, it reduces sales for those items. Thus, please explain how raising taxes on the economic engine of our economy will not likewise reduce economic growth at the same time it increases unemployment?

Thus, since obviously it will inevitably reduce economic growth and increase unemployment, further draining federal coffers, how do you figure that federal revenues will increase? They won’t, federal revenues will inevitably decrease. Thus, raising taxes on the economic engine of our economy, especially during a severe recession, will be disastrous.

Not to mention also that most of those taxes in any event will inevitably get passed onto the American people via higher cost for goods and services. Hence, it is also just an intellectually dishonest way of raising taxes on the American people.

Hence, do me a favor, you stay on your side of the border and mind your own business, and I in turn promise I’ll stay on my side of the border and mind my own business.

Yet, America with its low taxes and in stark contrast to all you socialist countries is the world’s lone superpower. Go figure.

Not to mention also that if we allow the Dhimmicrats to turn America into another pacifist Euroloon nanny state country, then who will fight and defend freedom? Canada? Don’t make me laugh! The delusional Euroloons? Don’t make me laugh!

What will happen is the world would inevitably become dominated by totalitarianism and everyone would lose their freedom.
