The M1911A1 pistol and the M24 bolt action rifle are actual military weapons. Do those belong in civilian hands?
Not all semi-automatic rifles are AR-15s. The AR-15 is only one type of semi-automatic rifle. Once again. Demonstrate which military in which country issues the AR-15 to its soldiers, or drop the argument. It was claimed by yourself that the AR-15 is a military firearm, so demonstrate such to be factually correct.
Any use which isn't murder is a legitimate use. By "legitimate use" they don't mean "peaceful use" though, they mean some vague, ever tightening level of usefulness to the leftist mind. If it can't stop climate change, it's not a gun worth having.
Anyone else notice that the picture of the supposed "sniper nest" is oddly devoid of brass? He supposedly fired hundreds of rounds of ammo... yet there the room is oddly bereft of any evidence of such.
The only photos I have seen were of the room prior to his occupation. If others, I would like to see them. Wouldn't they all have been collected for evidence already?
There are a number of photos of the room, the shooter's guns piled up on two chairs where he left them, a couple of rifles with the bumpfire stocks on them lying on the floor, magazines stacked neatly up against a pillar, and the gunman's body where he ostensibly killed himself. But very few shell casings; certainly not hundreds of rounds worth.
Funny. A minute ago you said, "no brass". Why did you change the post? Wouldn't have anything to do with the picture I put up would it? This place is a riot.
No, no it's not devoid of brass. devoid - entirely lacking or free from. Ha ha, the great investigator.
UNTRUE On 9/11/01 Terrorists attacked and the Devil came to breakfast and there was HELL to pay, I was there at Ground Zero and almost died. I lost too many comrades in Arms, NYPD, FDNY, etc...... And you say We don't need Military Weapons in civilian hands ? What happens when the battle reaches home shores ? It happened in 1993 too !!!! Have we learned anything at all from history ? I guess not, if ignorant folks are still crowing for gun control. Folks that really should know better.
Yeah...here's the thing... Your delusions do not amount to reality. I'm so sorry for you. Perhaps you feel the need to be able to fire 500 rounds per minute to get that squirrel but that doesn't mean you should be able to fire 500 rounds per minute to kill a squirrel. Perhaps, and I'm just throwing spitballs here, perhaps you could work on your aim?
And yet these particular firearms have been available on the private market for over fifty years now. There are countless millions of them owned, and they are overwhelmingly owned for legal and legitimate purposes. The minor handful of criminal uses are eclipsed by the criminal use of handguns, but handguns cannot be prohibited from ownership. There is no reason to believe semi-automatic rifles can be prohibited either, as it would constitute a prohibition on an entire class of firearms, which the united state supreme court has ruled is unconstitutional.
