Those soldiers signed a contract with the California NG and fulfilled their part of it. They extended their military service for years and many were injured in battle during that extension. The California NG needs to honor their part of the signed contract. The Pentagon needs to go after the party that misappropriated Federal funds to maintain a fighting force instead of going after the victims of fraud. Why are the victim soldiers being threatened by the Feds? What did they do to deserve this? Do I have to worry about my reenlistment bonuses? What about my GI Bill educational benefits? Are they going to come after them?

Just hope that they won't bill you for room and board and use of military equipment.

The next time this issue comes up people will be idiots if they sign on the dotted line. But it's been 240 years and they are just as dumb now as they were then.

You stopped read after the second sentence genius, the article clearly states that the California national guard over paid bonuses. Now let that sink in Genius. CALIFORNIA screwed up. Obviously the Pentagon would want miss spent money back. Maybe CALIFORNIA should clean up their mess.
